In Detail Lakme Absolute Illuminating Blush Shimmer Brick Coral Review, Swatches and My Experience

Starting of with the packaging, it comes in a simple round plastic packaging with a clear plastic lid on top of it. However, does not have any mirror or a brush applicator provided with it. Overall the packaging is very decent nothing fancy. But I don’t want to complain anything regarding the packaging as you get such a good amount of product at a reasonable price. So that was it on the packaging.

Now coming on to the shades they just have two shades in this blush range. One is coral and the other one is pink. These two shades are something that everyone needs to have in their blush kit. In fact these two shades will definitely flatter all Indian complexions. Hence, I wish that they come up with some more new shades as well.

Coming to the review. I have been testing this product for about a month now and so far I am really really liking it. Therefore, I have been using it non-stop. You can really use this product in multiple ways. You can use it as a blush, highlighter, bronzer or as an eyeshadow. In fact any which way you like. I have been using this product as a blush and as a highlighter most of the times.

From top to bottom: My favourite shades from this palette is the first two shades, hence I use them the most. The very first shade I like to use it as a blush. Second shade right down I use it as a highlighter. And the third shade I like to use as an eyeshadow. Finally the last shade in the row I don’t find it to be that useful for my complexion so at times I mix the first and the last shade as my blush and then apply it on my cheeks. Overall, the shimmer brick is very nice and it’s easy to blend. It imparts a very soft and luminous glow on the cheeks when you apply it. Hence, this is a combination of shades that will flatter all Indian complexions.

Finally, coming on to the texture, the texture of this is very soft and buttery. Therefore it’s very easy to blend. I am really in love with this texture.

Lastly coming on to the staying power it’s stays on for good 5-6 hours on my combination skin. Also, I can even further expand the staying power if I use a face primer.

1) If you have super oily skin I suggest you to use a face primer before you apply a foundation. This will increase the staying power of your makeup as well as keep it looking fresh.
2) Use a good makeup remover to remove your makeup. Also, take your makeup off everyday before going to bed.
