How to Use Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick

1 Step: Stretch the lips and start at the centre, putting on the lipstick to the corners.

2 Step: Blot the lipstick with a tissue and reapply the lipstick. This will ensure an intense color payoff.

3 Step: Make sure the lipstick has not smudged over the line of your lips

In Detail Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM 15 Review, Swatches, Makeup Look and My Experience

The lipstick comes housed in outer silver cardboard box. The actual lipstick is in a transparent tube with a clear lid. The shade number is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick. At times it’s very hard to remember the numbers so I personally would have preferred naming the shades. The cap of the lipstick shuts down tightly. Hence there is no chance of product getting spoiled. The packaging is similar to their enrich satin range. Just that it has a matte finish. However, I am not sure if I like the packaging of this lipstick.

Now coming on to the shades they have about 20 different shades to offer, which I love.  The shade I will be reviewing today is PM 15 which is a pink matte shade. They have numbered the lipstick in such a way that PM stands for pink matte, OM stands for orange matte and RM stands for red matte etc. So, it’s very easy to decide the colour family they belong to. The shade PM 15 is a beautiful bright pink which has a hint of purple in it. It’s such a pretty shade that it instantly brightens up my complexion.

Although lakme claims it to be a matte lipstick, but some of the lipsticks in this range surprisingly are not matte but give more of a semi- matte finish. But the shade that I am reviewing PM 15 is comparatively more matte. The previous pink lipstick that I reviewed that is lakme enrich matte lipstick in shade PM 11 had a semi matte finish.

It glides easily on the lips. However, after a couple of hours or so I see the lipstick getting patchy on the lips. Usually I feel my lips drying from the inner corners but here my lips feel overall dry. The formula feels like its falling apart after some time. Hence, really not impressed with the formula here. Although shade selection has impressed me but here lakme fails to impress me in terms of their finish in addition to the fact that they have such a crumpy formula.

The lipstick stayed on my lips for good 4-5 hours maximum. However, it left a pinkish stain behind which can be taken off with a makeup remover if you are not okay with stained lips.

Pros of Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM 15

1) Nice shade selection in the Lakme enrich matte range.
2) Pretty pink shade.
3) Easily available.
4) Lipstick glides on smoothly when you apply it.
5) Decently priced.
6) Some of the shades in this collection look quite similar to each other. For example, shade pm11 and pm15 are quite similar shades.

Cons of Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM 15

1) Crumpy texture and formula.
2) Lips feel dry and lipstick looks uneven/patchy after 2 hours or so.
3) Not the best quality packaging.

MBF Advises

1) If you have dry lips, I would suggest you to use a lip balm underneath your lips.
2) As I said that this lipstick has a semi matte finish, to make it more matte you can apply the lipstick and then blot a tissue paper on top of your lips.
3) To remove the lipstick use a good makeup remover or coconut oil.
