In Detail Lakme Eyeconic Liner Pen BLock Tip Review, Swatches and My Experience

I haven’t tried any other liner pen from Lakme and I guess they have a fine tip liner as well. These aren’t available in any other shade except black.

It’s a basic black pen liner with very less quantity, it’s just 1 ml as compared to other pen liners in the market it’s very less; for example the Rimmel Microliner Pen (reviewed earlier) has 11 ml which is a vast difference. I actually got confused and read a couple of times and checked other sites as well that is it really just 1 ml for that much money.

It’s a simple pen packaging, a simple black coloured packaging with very few details mentioned on the pen. The tip isn’t the basic one but a sleek, small rectangular one which basically is a block tip and can also be used for precise, micro application.

The formula takes a couple secs to dry properly, it doesn’t dry up instantly. It settles into a shiny finish. It is quite pigmented, the formula doesn’t feel thick or sticky when applied, but after a couple of minutes it starts to weigh on the lids and the lids feel a bit stretched.

It claims that it’ll stay for 14 hours, it doesn’t even stay for one full hour on my lids. I have a bit oily lids and this isn’t for me, it transferred into a line on my upper lid and then smudged all over the lid.

I tried it on the back of my hand as well and it easily feathered away. It doesn’t stay for a very long time. It is a water- resistant formula, but not a completely water-proof one, you can easily wash it off with water.

The application is trickier as compared to the regular micro liner/basic pen liners, this tip doesn’t make the winged liner or any liner application easier, a simple pointy tip does a better job.

Removing it isn’t very difficult, you can wash it off with water also, it just might leave a little residue, so use a makeup wipe or any makeup remover, it isn’t very difficult to remove.

Even though I am a fan of the concept and really wish to find the perfect pen liner for myself but somehow, I haven’t had a single good experience with pen eyeliners, some don’t stay, some are uncomfortable and this is the 5th one I am trying.

I would any day prefer a basic liner over pen liners. This product is very expensive if we see that we are only getting 1 ml of product in 475/- Rs and that too when the tip of this liner pen doesn’t even give us any added advantage, then why?

MBF Advises

There are quite a few liner pens available, do your research and look for something that will suit your skin type. Also, a gel liner or a basic liquid liner gives much better results and I am still looking for a pen liner that works for me.
