One can never have enough Red Lipsticks, yes I have been saying this since I found my love for them. I was browsing through some stuff lately when I spotted this. It looked like such a pretty red shade, and I had to have it. Let’s continue reading to find out more about it.

How to use product

Step 1: Stretch the lips and start at the centre, putting on the lipstick to the corners.

Step 2: Blot the lipstick with a tissue. Make sure the lipstick has not smudged over the line of your lips.

Packaging

Lakme has come up with the new silver transparent packaging. Thank God they got rid of that maroon packaging. This one has Lakme Enrich Satin written on the side. A label with the shade number is seen on the bottom. It has got a click to close mechanism which I think is awesome since I feel it makes the lipstick safer to travel with.

Texture and Formula

The formula of the lipstick is a moisturising one which gives a glossy finish on the lips. The texture is soft and creamy. Glides on very easily on the lips. Because of the super creamy formula, the lipstick also transfers a lot.

Coming to my favourite thing about this lipstick, lets talk about the shade. Its a beautiful bridal red lipstick which will look super gorgeous on all skin tones. This looks the best on warmer Indian skin tones. I guess one can pull this shade off which almost anything they wear. Traditional or western, this lipstick shade will complement all the looks. Of course the lipstick is highly pigmented. One can only apply a single swipe and this would give enough hue. I am wearing 2 swiped of it in the pictures.

Staying Power

This lipstick kind of lags when it comes to staying power mostly because it transfers a lot. Without eating or drinking, this probably stays for around 2.5 to 3 hours. When it goes off or when removed with a make up remover, it leaves a wine-ish stain on the lips.

MBF Recommendation

I feel this is a decent lipstick with a highly moisturising formula and a soft, silky texture. The great thing about it is the packaging which is absolutely gorgeous now. Though I wish it was a little bit longer lasting and the formula transferred less. Anyways at this price, Lakme is giving a pretty decent lipstick. I chose this one as its a super hot bridal red lipstick shade. I would also like to suggest you guys to keep this lipstick in a cool place because it melts inside the shell which causes it to break.
