Laneige Water Sleeping Mask Review: Hi guys, hope everyone is well and safe. I saw a vlogger talk about this brand Laneige and I got really curious about it as I had no idea that it was. Then I saw it was available in India and so easily available online. So, I ordered 2-3 products out of curiosity from this range as it was on an offer with some mini freebies which we all love. It’s no surprise that sometimes we get more excited about the free stuff than the product itself we actually ordered.

Anyways talking more about the product, it is imperative to mention that when I applied it for the first time and it felt like water, there was no greasy finish to it and I knew it was going to be a permanent skin care product for me. I have both the sizes with me one for travelling the other one for my permanent night stand.

In Detail Laneige Water Sleeping Mask Review, Swatches and My Experience

Water sleeping mask – a new and intriguing product to me

Packaging – It’s a blue colour round tub packaging, made of a very sturdy high quality plastic (may be plastic like material). The smaller one looks like a plastic one but the bigger tub comes in this frosted theme packing which makes it look and feel like that of glass finish. It’s a heavy jar which is quite thick and bulky but keeps the product safe and sealed. The bigger one comes with a spatula as well making it easy to get the product out even if there is very little product left in the tub.

The packing doesn’t break or crack even if it falls down on the ground. It stays unharmed. The bigger one also come with a detailed description of the product on the packaging

Formula – It’s a parabens and Phthalates free formula. The product is very light weight. It’s basically gel like formula which doesn’t feel greasy or sticky at all. The product has a very very light hint of blue maybe because of the bottle which itself is blue in colour. The best thing about the formula is that it feels like water on skin.

My honest experience – Usually gel like products feel a bit thick and heavy on the skin and feel like the product has some weight and takes a bit of a time to penetrate the skin properly. However, that is not the case with this product. It goes into the skin within seconds if you use it as night cream rather than mask. While using as a mask it’ll give you that feeling like presence of some very light and thin layer which is ultimately absorbed.

It won’t get all greasy and sticky on the face or leave any residue. So you would not need any thorough washing of the face. Washing your face with water alone is enough to get rid of any excess product left on the skin by morning.

The concept behind this product is to moisturize and recharge the skin with a gel-based mask which quickly gets absorbed while you sleep giving it good 6-8 hours to deeply hydrate the skin.

Though its very clearly written that it’s a leave on mask, I like to utilize it in a lot of ways. I have combination skin and I only apply it in a mask form when my skin is super dry otherwise, I use it like a normal night cream.

As its one of the very few products that suits my skin and doesn’t make my face sweat like crazy, I use this even during the day, I take less than half a spatula of the product during the day time and my skin feels soo soft the entire day. The product is amazingly versatile for me.

I even love to use it to soothe my skin after removing a full face of makeup, it cools down my skin deeply. You can also keep it in the refrigerator during the summer to cool the gel and then apply it after a hot and hectic day. Its bliss on your face.

It suits all skin types be it normal, dry, oily, combination or sensitive. The formula is not concentrating on a specific skin type but a versatile one.

The sleeping mask hydrates the skin solving the dryness issue, it also helps with the dullness and uneven texture of the skin. In addition, it is also used to reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkle; although I haven’t got those yet so can’t really say.

It’s a very good product but it’s on the pricier side. I always shop for it when there some discount or some offers going on as we all are looking for a good bargain

MBF Advises

Try to get the best use out of the product, don’t just use it as a sleeping mask, try and experiment with the product as it quite expensive for the amount of product we are getting. Try and get the full use out it.

To treat dryness use twice or thrice a week to see a difference.

It has best use for dry skin beauties, but all skin types may give it a shot for that extra burst of hydration, leaving your skin soft, supple and glowy.
