Mr. Husband is still asleep for his afternoon nap and I felt like writing the L’Oreal Infallible Mega Gloss 106 Alerte Rouge Review, Swatches post. Loreal Infallible range is quite a hit but its the first lip gloss that I tried from this range. L’Oreal Infallible Mega Gloss Fight For It Shade 109  has been already revewed on mbf blog and today I am writing on the shade 106 Alerte Rouge. I like when the brands go quite cheeky with the names of the products. 😛

How to Use

1. Fill

Fill the applicator with the mega gloss infallible texture.

2. Apply

Apply the gloss firstly onto the lower lip, from the centre to the corners. Repeat this on your upper lip, paying extra attention to your cupids bow. This way you will achieve a perfectly shaded effect, leaving the middle of your lips denser and shinier in colour.

3. Layer

For an even glossier effect, apply Infallible Lip Top Coat.

In Detail L’Oreal Infallible Mega Gloss 106 Alerte Rouge Review, Swatches and My Experience

Loreal Infallible Mega glosses come in a pretty sturdy and stout gloss tubes. The remarkable feature of the packaging is its glossy hi shine look from the outside. The shade name with number is written on top. The applicator is very unique. It’s basically bent backwards in the middle giving it kind of a kyphotic look. I am not sure but I guess the idea behind this design was intended such that the concavity of the applicator in the front fits on the fullness of the lips during application. I personally don’t think it was a big deal when I actually used it. I mean I like that its unique, but it doesn’t do anything extraordinarily different.

The consistency of the gloss is moderately thick with a very creamy texture. I like how its more or less non sticky yet appears so shiny and glossy. The lips appear slightly fuller because of the moderately thick consistency with high shine appearance of the gloss. It does transfer but not really like our regular glosses. It lasted on my lips for around 4 hours without meals. I drank some water but that didn’t cause significant fading and the gloss maintained its colour and shine intensity.

I am a big red lipstick junkie so you will probably find all kinds of reds in my vanity. Alerte rouge is a gorgeous neutral red shade. Its neither too cold nor too warm. This shade is exactly the red which compliments all skin tones. If you are looking for a super pigmented, super glossy, super creamy neutral red then this is what you have been searching for. It is probably the most pigmented gloss line in the market right now.

It does take a very good makeup remover to remove the pigment off completely from the lips. The loreal mega gloss alerte rouge leaves a very even and pretty maroon stain behind. Yes the stain it leaves behind is quite deep as compared to the actual colour of the lip gloss. This is quite surprising to be honest. Also, the stain does take a day to come off completely. So when you apply this lip gloss, you are done for the day and the next day as well.

Overall I highly recommend these lip glosses to all of you. I am sure if you are a lip gloss person, you will find the infallible lip glosses to be amazing.

Cons of L’Oreal Infallible Mega Gloss 106 Alerte Rouge

1. The formula does tend to become a little sticky after a couple of hours of wearing it.
2. Staying power isn’t as amazing.
3. With meals, it does not last very long.

MBF Advices

1. For beauties with some pigmentation on the lips, apply a lip liner and fill in before putting the lip gloss. This will give a gorgeous colour intensity and coverage.
2. Carry this lip gloss in your purse if you are going to be out for long because the staying power isn’t as much. However if you are okay with evenly stained lips, you may not carry it along.
3. The applicator with this lip gloss is pretty innovative however if you are not comfortable with its design, I suggest using the upper dorsal part of the applicator for applying the product. It gives a better control.
