In Detail LUSH Rocket Science Bath Bomb Review, Demo and My Experience

The product comes in a paper bag. This bomb is true to its name, shaped like a rocket, with a yellow tail mimicking the fire coming out when a rocket is launched. The rocket is blue in colour with silver glitter. The tail is yellow, however because of my mishandling the tail broke before I could take a picture. This bomb is smaller in size, only a 100 grams but still does all its supposed to do. When handling the bomb dry, there is a lot of crumbling and fallout/powder-iness, in this case glitter as well.

The dry bomb smells so refreshing, citrusy, smells of salt, lemons and oranges, the ingredients in it. I decided I needed a bath second night in a row. Filled the bathtub, jumped right in, lowered the bomb in the water and it started fizzing…but silently. With other bath bombs, you can hear the fizzing and its amazing, this one was very quiet for a rocket.

How it works

The water was being so beautifully colored, this was supposed to zoom around in the tub, but It did not. It kept sinking and turning over, I had to help it float on the surface. You can expect the blue and the yellow color as you can see it. The surprise element was the pink that started fizzing at the very end. Unfortunately I had kept my camera away by then.

The rocket was emitting beautiful silver glitter that gave the water depth but not too overpowering that you emerge out of the tub looking like ‘bare Edward Cullen in the sun’ (Twilight reference). Still, there will be slight shimmer on your skin if you look closely.

The rocket put up a stunning show, it was a slow fizzer. But it kept fizzing, emitting colors for about 10 mins , blue, pink, and yellow. The water turned this gorgeous teal blue afterwards. I had mermaid feels. The scent of this one was very light, as compared to the other bath bombs which I have used. Very faint, I had to take a deep waft but after soaking in the bath I could smell it off my skin and it lingered for about 12 hours.

This one dint leave any residue on the side of my tub or after draining unlike the Lush sex bomb, however it was so difficult to pull the drain plug as I dint want to get out of the tub leaving the mermaid waters.

Overall Verdict

It leaves the skin soft and smooth, I don’t feel the need of a moisturiser. This is refreshing and relaxing at the same time. I would not recommend this right before sleeping though, it refreshed me to the point that I was awake in bed till 3 a.m.

The lemon oil and the bergamot orange oil in it give it the citrusy hints. Also the smoothing effect of the skin and the refreshing sense.

The smell could have been a little stronger, just a faint scent is not what I am hoping for in a BOMB. May be because of how small it was or May be what I bought was just a dud, I would definitely give it another try.
