In Detail LUSH Rose Jam Shower Gel Review and My Experience

This one is also a holiday edition shower gel. I bought this after hearing a lot of positive reviews about it, so bought to see it for myself what the rave was all about.

It comes in a transparent recycled plastic bottle, with a flip open recyclable black plastic cap. With stickers all around the bottle with information about it. I bought the 250 gm bottle.

It’s a transparent pinkish red shower gel. The consistency is not too thick not too runny, just perfect.

The scent is a heavy, gorgeous sugary sweet rose, slightly citrusy but mostly you get the sweet floral smell. The vanilla and lemon give this floral scent a sweet fresh kick.
If you love overly sweet scents you will love this. The name could not be more apt.
The scent takes me back to my childhood when my grandma used to make “ Gulkhand “ or “Gulqand” (which literally means Gul –flower, qand – sweet) it’s a type of sweet reserve made out of rose petals and sugar and this shower gel is exactly what that smelt like.

I have to admit the big bottles are slightly harder to squeeze and get the product out when your hands are already wet, even though the product if filled up to the maximum.
The shower gel is clearer and transparent when you pour out than what it looks like in the bottle.

How it Works

It lathers up nicely and gives this silky lather, it gives more lather when you use a loofah and creates foamy nice bubbly lather.

It perfumes your body and leaves your skin smelling of sweet roses for about 4-5 hours.
The shower gel is not drying but also not moisturizing. The skin feels silky satin-y smooth afterwards.

This again is a multi use product I have used it as a shampoo and as a bubble bath in my bath cocktail. It is a all in one product making it travel friendly. Also, it works amazing as a shampoo. It lathers in the first wash and leaves my hair squeaky clean. My hair feel softer and more manageable afterwards. It doesnot make my hair frizzy. The scent lingers in my hair for good 24 hours after which theres still a faint scent when i sniff my hair.

I tend to wash my hair only when I really need to or 2 times a week, so after the third day I can see a little buildup after using this as a shampoo. you know when you scratch your head and you have a powdery white buildup that sort of (no I am not talking about dandruff) but I am not complaining that’s usually the time I shampoo again.

I have used it with a bathbomb to take the bathbomb bath to another level and make it a two in one, bubble bath with a bathbomb. After the bathbomb fizzes out I squirt rose jam 2-3 times, run the tap again and it makes mountains and mountains of foamy moldable bubbles.
You can use it to have a bubble bath by itself as well.

All in all this is a great shower gel /shampoo/ bubble maker and I save it for those days when I am craving to shower with a sweet scented shower gel.
