LUSH Snowman Shower Jelly Review: Lush never fails to design products according to the season, the shape and scents always are on point. After loving the whoosh shower jelly I went in the store in holiday season to buy the “Snowman Shower jelly”. Lush came out with shower jellies on their 10th anniversary. This is their holiday edition jelly and sadly wont be around the whole year.

In Detail LUSH Snowman Shower Jelly Review and My Experience

The jelly comes in a wide mouthed transparent and recyclable tub, looking at the tub I thought the shape of the jelly would be like the tub, but it is actually shaped like a snowman, hence the name.

It a whipped cream white in color. The jelly is squished in half in the tub, when you plop it in your hand it’s a snowman. This is a vertically half snowman, the back is a plain and the front is snowman shaped, with little details such as a beanie on his head, his nose and the muffler around his neck. It has the perfect jiggle and wobble.

How I Use it

I plopped it in my hand and the snowman was melting, there was this oily leaking from the jelly, I dint expect this as the whoosh dint have any leakage. Also it is slightly sticky to touch, always leaves your hand sticky with residue after holding it.

I kept in my balcony thinking it might have melted but that wasn’t the case..it was still leaky after it sat in my freezing balcony for days..

The scent is incredible, warm and welcoming, a little hard to describe. It smells sweet fruity but also with citrusy hints. It has carrot infusion in it and seaweed extract to soften skin.

Let me start by warning you, shower jellies are not for when you need a quick shower in need to go to work or college, these will slip, slide and fall making you want to throw them away. These are for days when you have all the time in the world in the shower having fun with jellies and singing your worries away!

This jelly is really wobbly and slippery in the shower. Its really hard to hold and work. It dropped multiple times and it was hard to retrieve from the tub floor ( EW the bacteria ) because of its shape. I thought I would pinch some off and lather it in my wash cloth, but it keep crumbling into pieces and falling on the floor and how much ever you try you are not going to get hold of the pieces, its impossible. The second time I used it it broke in half. But the good thing is the half is better and easier to use as it fits if you cup your hand and does not slip and fall off as much.

Effects

It does its job, Cleanses the skin, It lathers just fine when you rub it on your skin, lathers better when you use a loofah.

This again is an Head to toe wash, it doesn’t say anywhere on the product or on the site but thank goodness I asked the sales person. This makes a great shampoo, lathers in the first time use, It makes my hair squeaky clean and also leaves my hair really soft, I think I will just save it and use it as a shampoo And save me the hassle of bending over to pick the jelly up several times during the shower.

It leaves the skin soft and smooth. Theres a faint smell on your skin for a couple of hours but it leaves my hair smelling amazing for over 24 hours.

Although it Leaves the skin smooth and soft but it is not moisturizing.

Shower Jellies make great products as they can be used as a soap, shampoo, bubble bath product all in one, makes a great travel friendly product.

As other jellies you can freeze or chill the snowman in the fridge.

I wash my hair twice a week, on Fridays I wash my hair using a mask pre-washing and then purple shampoo and conditioner for my lightened hair, straighten or curl it and get ready for the weekend, and ones on a week day just to get rid of the oil buildup, I have been using this for those days and I don’t feel the need for a conditioner, my hair looks blonder and brighter and soft and smell amazing.
