In Detail LUSH Trichomania Solid Shampoo Review and My Experience

This came wrapped in a cling film and a paper bag. The shampoo bar looks like a coconut cheesecake, theres a pink waxy layer covering a very coconut cream coloured bar. The pink waxy layer has what looks like shredded coconut stuck on it.

It thankfully does not smell overly coconut-ty, like when you apply parachute (coconut oil)! It smells very mild of coconut tropical which I don’t mind. Knowing the benefits of coconut for hair I decided to give it a try.

I have waist length, thick,wavy- hair, damaged, dry, bleached and color treated, which tends to get frizzy. Even though I was blessed with normal scalp for all my life recently it decided to change to a very oily scalp, that starts getting oily within two days of wash. But still the ends are dry straws.

How it works

The shampoo bar lathers quite well when you rub it in your hair but does not give much lather to just massage and spread throughout hair, so I part my hair, rub and repeat. I only rub the bar near the roots and not through the tips. I then run my fingers throughout my hair to spread the lather all the way to the tips.

You can smell the same mild scent even in the bath. Its not hard to rinse off and leaves your hair squeaky clean but they feel a little bit heavy. I towel dry and leave my hair to air dry. The heaviness goes away after the hair are dry .

Soft to touch hair, you can feel the difference with in one wash.The volume the hair gets does not feel like volume but feels poofy. I have to use a serum to bring down the poofiness.
The hair has healthy shine and feel amazing.

The pink waxy layer breaks while you rub in your hair and stays there, I have often come out of bath after rinsing properly and still found the pink waxy layer stuck in my hair. The waxy layer does not even lather it just breaks when rubbed too much and feels like its just there to hold the bar in shape so that it does not break easily.

My husband uses it every day and I use it once a week. There is no need to using a conditioner after it as it feels conditioned enough. I have noticed his hair becoming shiny and soft from coarse rough hair and over all improved his hair health.

This bar has lasted over 80 washes and I can get more 10 washes out of it and then theres this pink layer I don’t know what to do with! I guess it goes in trash! Its supposed to be hydrating so I thought my dry would get some moisture but its not as effective and does not do anything to my frizzy hair.
