I was intrigued by the idea of jelly and had to give it a go. This is my first ever shower jelly from LUSH. In Detail LUSH Whoosh Shower Jelly Review and My Experience

The product and packaging

The product comes in a transparent wide mouthed, recycled and recyclable tub. With a screw on cap. You can see the jelly inside.

Infused with triple citrus scents the jelly smells refreshing. It has a strong citrusy smell more like the rind of a citrus fruit. This is more of a summer use jelly as the smell reminds me of lemonades that you gulp down by litres in summer. But by all means you can use this one all year round. This is their permanent product which you can buy anytime of the year. This will freshen and awaken you so I suggest to use this for the morning showers. Also I can imagine using it straight out of the freezer in the summer after a full day in the sun.

The product is a blue slightly teal jelly. The jelly is perfectly set and there is no leaking or residue when you plop it out from the tub or when it is in the tub. The jelly has the perfect jiggle and wobble. It retains its shape and is flexible. You can tilt the tub over and the jelly will slip out and come in your hand in perfect shape. It’s the shape of tub.

How it Works

The jelly lathers up just fine. It instantly starts lathering as you work it against your skin. I would suggest to buy the small tub as that fits in the hand perfectly and is easy to work with. it will slip and slide if the jelly is too big to hold. I cupped it in my hand and used it all over without it sliding off from my hand.

This is a Head to toe wash product. The first time I shampoo it never lathers, but this one surprisingly did. I was not sure how I would use it on my hair, but I just rubbed in near my scalp, making parts and rubbing in the product. Lathers great when used on my hair.

Easy to rinse off, It made my hair squeaky clean. Dint dry out my skin but in this harsh winter I still need a moisturizer.

After the first use that’s ones using it on my body and twice on my waist length hair the jelly looks quite used up and Doesnot look like it will last me long.

Almost faint to none smell lingers on skin, My hair smelt great though.

Overall Verdict

I had a lot of fun with the jelly while in the bath, also jiggling it and taking pictures it did not disintegrate on the first use, only after a second use I find some scratchy cuts on it but that must be by using it on my hair. It Dint falls apart in clumps even after third time use.

There are a lot of ways to use this jelly.

  • Chill it in the fridge or chuck it in the freezer. I keep it out in my balcony to chill it as the temperatures easily drop down to minus.
  • You can also chop this jelly and use a bit every time you shower.
  • Or you can crumble the jelly and put it in your loofah and lather it up.
  • Or you can just use the whole as you would with a soap and rub over your body, scrub with a loofah and rinse
  • The jelly is a head to toe wash, you can use on your hair too instead of a shampoo.
  • This one is for one of those days when I have to shower but I am too lazy to use multiple products like a shower gel, shampoo and conditioner..all In one.

The jelly is too pretty for me to crumble it on purpose, I will use it multiple times and if it crumbles on its own then that’s that.
