MAC Black Walnut Modern Twist Kajal Liner Review, Swatches: Hi, Hope all of you are doing excellent and enjoying the monsoon. During a recent cleanup session with my dressing table, I discovered “ Kajals, Kajals and more Kajals”. Pencil Kajal, twist Kajal, gel Kajal, Surma Kajal etc. etc.

I found at least 12 of them and I am sure there must be 3-4 more as well elsewhere in some purse or the other. And all this started because I was searching for my MAC Kajal pencil that I bought a couple of months back and wasn’t able to find it in its regular place. Well the entire process alerted me not to shop for more until I finish the existing ones.

In Detail MAC Black Walnut Modern Twist Kajal Liner Review, Swatches and My Experience

I have been using Maybelline colossal Kajal from a long time for the reason that it was of the twist type of style and did not need sharpening. In addition, it was sleek enough to fit into any wallet.

Mac modern twist Kajal entered my makeup kit by accident rather than intention. I remember that I had a 1-day training session in Hyderabad and only after I reached the airport I realised that my Maybelline Kajal was almost over and I needed one for the next day to wear during the session.

I could only see the MAC stores at the airport and I went there to ask if they had any twist type of Kajal pencil that would stay put for a decent amount of time. The staff showed me 2-3 styles and I really loved this sleek little pencil and bought it immediately without much of an experiment.

MAC Black walnut comes in a plastic black colored packaging, which is a standard packing style of MAC products.  The pencil is quite sleek and sturdy and the twist action happens at the end just underneath the name print. The cap fits the pencil well and does not open by itself when place in bag. 

The tip of the pencil is satin or partially matte textured. It is hardly creamy and one might have to be a little patient when application as it may not glide smoothly like the creamy textured pencils. The pencil can be used safely on the water line as its ophthalmologist tested.

The color is black and the boldness can be increased or decreased based on the intensity of application. The pencil is also good for usage as eyeliner and does not smudge or spread to the eyelid.

However, I do so only during emergency as I only use this to apply on the waterline due to its safe usage. The Kajal gives a decent performance and lasts for about 5-6 hours easily after which it appears soft faded and one needs a makeup remover or wipe to clean it thoroughly from the water line area.

I do not mind picking this pencil again in future but for now, I want to target the whole bunch of Kajal pencils who are crying hard to be used first.
