I met my friend after a long-long time and we relived the lovely moments, gossips and the hush-hush girlie talks followed by some shopping at the Ambiance Mall in Gurgaon, Delhi. While my friend was keen on picking a foundation for herself at MAC, I was fiddling with the liquid lipsticks and picked this one, MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lip color -Love Weapon.

I had picked up other colors also from this range and was happy with the experience. I dint mind picking another one in this range and here goes my views about the same. MAC has introduced the liquid lip colors with a bit of shimmer and call it their metallic range.

• For a diffused look, try blending the edges of the lip with a 219 Brush before the liquid lip color dries.

People say “what’s in a name?” I would say that a lip color with the name” Love Weapon” when worn is sure to make hearts fall for the lovely lips. The color is super rich, a beautiful wine color with pink shimmers. It color looks double toned when worn giving a finish of maroonish berry color with a dark pink colored shimmers.

The color is a hit for the wedding season and can be worn with most of the outfits. One needs to prep the lips well to avoid any kind of flakiness. The lip color gives better finish and look when applied in strokes instead of layering to achieve the desired color. The color is sure to draw attention which has shades of maroon- berry-pink- brown. Its gives the desired warmth to your face and a beautiful flush of color.

The lip color is very pigmented and feels extremely light on the lips. Once applied it stays put until removed. Due to the presence of the shimmers the lipstick gives a metallic finish when light falls on it. One needs to do a bit of a work while removing the lipstick as the shimmers do remain as is though the color goes off. A second swipe of makeup remover takes off the shimmers completely.

With regard to the packaging, it’s the regular transparent tube with an applicator lid. Though I am comfortable with the soft applicator, I achieved the desired look when I used a lip brush as I was sure I was not picking up more product during application. I am head over heels in love with this beautiful weapon that I caught my hands on and would definitely want you all to try. It’s one color that would match with most of your outfits.
