I have recently purchased a lot of products from Makeup Revolution London after reading reviews and watching online tutorials. After using them for almost a month, I must say they are amazing at the price they come. Today I am going to review “Makeup Revolution Ultra Velour Lip Cream “. Available online across multiple vendors at 600 INR, it is still not available in stores in India. I bought it along with other products from MUR official site and was delivered directly to my doorstep from UK.

As the name suggests, MUR Ultra Velour Lip Cream is a cream based liquid lipstick. Therefore, it’s a boon for people like me who have dry lips. The lipstick comes in rose gold cardboard box with a window on one side which makes it easier to view the colour. It contains a detailed list of ingredients though there is no expiry date mentioned. The product comes in a round transparent plastic tube with a black cap and golden ring in centre, which gives it an elegant look. The black cap has a wand applicator fitted inside which is very useful for applying the lip cream. However, the tube doesn’t have ingredient list or expiry date, only there’ a sticker on it which mentions the shade name. The tube is leak proof and sturdy, hence travel friendly.

The lip cream comes in 10 beautiful shades. Each shade has a very unique and creative name. I bought the shade ‘Can’t We Just Make Love Instead’. It’s a nude brown shade. It is very suitable for office wear or to go with your subtle or light makeup. The lip cream is very smooth and thick. Therefore, it glides on lips like butter and keeps them hydrated for long. Just after first coat, the lips will feel soft and incredible. Though for already chapped lips, it will get into fine lines and not give the desired smooth finish. So it is advised to scrub lips before applying this lipstick. Applying lip balm can be kept optional since the lipstick itself is very moisturizing for the lips and additional moisturizer is not required.

Just one coat is enough to give that sheer coverage but it can be built up to give a more opaque look. It gives a semi-glossy finish after application which doesn’t dry out completely and so is not completely matte. It transfers a lot when its wet. For beauties who love little colour but want a natural looking lips, this is a great choice.

I specially love that inspite of being so creamy it does not bleed. But the staying power of these lipsticks is very weak. It can stay up to 2-3 hours without any meals. With light meals or coffee, it starts fading and reapplication becomes necessary. The product fades evenly and leaves a tint of colour on the lips. This particular shade fades with orange undertones. It does not give a patchy look to lips hence it is a plus point. Therefore, if reapplication is not an issue, these lip creams are a must have.
