In Detail Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette Review, Swatches, Makeup and My Experience

The maybelline the blushed nudes eyeshadow palatte comes in a cute little baby pink  packaging. The packaging looks so cute that as soon as I saw this palette I picked it for the packaging and not for the shades. (Sounds bit weird I know). The packaging of the maybelline the blushed nudes looks very chic and sleek. The packaging has a transparent lid so you can easily see the shades from outside. The lid is tight so it shuts with a click hence no chances of the product getting spoiled in your purse. The maybelline the blushed nudes palette comes with its own little eye shadow applicators. The palette does not have an inbuilt mirror so one needs to carry a separate mirror.

The maybelline the blushed nudes palette contains 12 cool toned rosy shades. This palette I feel the palette has quite light shades, so the colour may end up looking very light or sheer on the skin. There are two purples in this eyeshadow palette. One is a light purple and the other is a dark purple. Now let’s come on to the shades now.

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette Shades description

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette Review Swatches Makeup US

SHADE 1 – This a slightly shimmery cream shade. Its basically a shade for highlighting. Although I find this shade to be a bit chalky in terms of texture.

SHADE 2 – This a beautiful shimmery pinkish shade with very fine sparkles. Good lid colour to wear on a everyday basis if you are into light colours. Nice pigmentation.

SHADE 3 – this is a again one of the beautiful peachy champagne gold shade. It gives a little pinkish sheen on the skin. Perfect for wearing on an every day basis. It’s one of my favourite colour from this palette.

SHADE 4 – shade 4’is a yellowish gold shade with brown undertones. Good for wearing on an everyday basis as a shimmery or metallic shadow or at wedding function. My another favourite shade from this collection.

SHADE 5 – this is a pinky peach colour with a fine bronze shimmer particles. Perfect to apply as a lid colour. Very blendable.

SHADE 6 – a gorgeous rose gold pink colour with purple undertones. Good for creating a soft smokey eyes. Great in pigmentation.

SHADE 7 – this a very shimmery green based grey colour. Very unique shade in this palette. This shade has a bit of fallout.

SHADE 8 – this shade is a brown mixed with slight henna green colour. One can define it as brownish taupe shade. Very pigmented and easy to blend.

SHADE 9 – my absolute favourite shade. It is a neutral brown loaded with shimmers. This shade is very much compared to Mac Wood winked eyeshadow. Love this shade. Great pigmentation and texture.

SHADE 10 – this shade is light shimmery steel grey or charcoal colour. Good colour for contouring your crease.

SHADE 11 – a deep purple-brown satin matte shade with some sheen to it. It has fine iridescent sparkles. The purple undertones show up on the skin only, cannot really appreciate inside the pan itself.

SHADE 12 – It’s a classic black matte shade with proper rose gold glitters all over. Its matte with glitters. This particular shade is very comparable to Urban Decay 3 blackheart.

Now I found the eye shadows in this palette works best when you apply it with your finger rather than brush as the warmth of your finger helps the product to show up on the eyelid much better.

The maybelline blushed the nudes palette is good for people who like to apply nude or soft shades. Or to someone who doesn’t like a heavy eyeshadow look on their eyes. However I would suggest everyone to swatch the shades in the counter before you buy them. Some of the shades in the eyeshadow lack in terms of pigmentation. Some colours need a bit of layering to show up on the eyelids. However I wished that they had some more browns in the palette. A complete matte brown would have been very appropriate shade to contour my crease.

So as I have described all the shades, I would like to talk a bit about the texture of the maybelline the blushed nudes palette pigments..the texture of the shades are extremely smooth and buttery. It’s glides on very easily. However I find some shades to be a bit chalky in terms texture eg. the first shade.

Coming on to the staying power of the maybelline the blushed eyeshadow nudes palette. The eyeshadow stayed on my oily eyelids for good 4-5 hours. After that specially the lighter shades started fading.

Cons of Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette

1) some of the shades lack in the pigmentation.
2) few colours needs to be layered twice or trice in order to show up.
2) the colours provided may not show up that well on the Indian skin and will require bit of layering.
3) this palette won’t suit beauties with deeper skin tone.
4) no mirror provided along with this palatte.

MBF Advises

1) please swatch and see the shades when you buy them.
2) to show the colour a bit more apply a similar shade of eye pencil all over the lid and than pat the eyeshadow to increase the colour of the eyeshadow.
3) to increase the staying power of the eyeshadow use a eye base or eye primer before. I generally like to pat some conceler before I apply eyeshadow.

  1. Some of the colours in this palette remind me of a mix of MAC and Urban Decay i love how pigmented they are too

  2. I find the palette slightly underwhelming as far as pigmentation is concerned. If you notice closely, there are a lot of shades which show similarities with shades in the Urban Decay Naked 3. Well L’oreal does own both UD and Maybelline so its quite possible that Maybelline The Blushed Nudes is somewhat a drugstore dupe of the Naked 3 by Urban Decay.

PS. Love your makeup Pooja 🙂

    • Nope dear . The upper row of the pallatte is chalky in texture where as the lower row is decent in terms of pigmentation ?❤️

    • Its definately a good eyeshadow pallatte Mariyam. But not as great as their nudes eyeshadow palatte. And yes dear this wont be a great option for dusky beauties as the shade may end up looking pale and chalky. U can definately opt fir there older nudes eyeshadow palatte. That will be a grat option and will suit all skin tones
