In Detail Maybelline X Gigi Hadid Lipstick Lani Review, Swatches and My Experience

This lipstick is an extension to the Maybelline colour sensational range and is in collaboration with the amazing model Gigi Hadid

The packaging is nice and sturdy it’s a beautiful pastel pink color which will attract almost any girl. The packaging is solid but I would not recommend you to put it in your purse unattended. The cap tends to get loose and isn’t the most secure to keep in the purse.

Coming onto the shade this is a gorgeous fiery rouge shade. It can be explained as a bright poppy red with orange and tangerine undertones. It belongs somewhere in between the coral and the red colour spectrum.

The shade looked very fresh on my medium skin, I personally enjoyed it and feel that it will look great on light and darker shades as well.

It has a very prominent orange undertones which make it a rich colour. It is totally apt to be worn at Indian weddings or to spice up any normal casual college look.

This range is for matte lipsticks but I would say this is more of a satin finish. But the formula is creamy and easy to wear. I love this formula as it does not break and fill-in the lines of your lips and does not dry out the lips.

It gives a very easy one swipe application given its smooth texture. But you will need a little pressure to get a very nice strong application.

Given this lipstick’s creamy and emollient texture it will make it very soft and hence easy to break. Be very careful when applying the lipstick. Do not take the entire bullet out amd start applying as it will break from its base.

Also given the intense summer heat it is also not suggested to keep it in warm atmosphere for long and I’ve managed to melt one of my creamy matte lipsticks.

The texture of the lipstick the formulation is outstanding. It will give you the mlst lushious looks and if you are a fan of a comfortable yet matte lipstick this will be your new favourite.

It is creamy but having said that the lasting power isn’t as great. It’s his very comfortably on the lips but does transfer a lot on to cups and spoons.

After a whole day affair, the colour still remains as a soft sheen but it does fade from the in the centre of the lips.

The formula is very pigmented and even a single swipe is enough to give a nice opaque coat. It does not have any fragrance which is an important factor for me. It can often be found on sale which is a great thing. You can get it for as less as ₹360. In my opinion this is a great price point for such a fabulous quality product. I can easily compare it to the Clinique Pop lipsticks which has a very similar texture but are way priced at wooping ₹1650.

I feel that the colour is something everyone can rock with a fresh radiant day look. It’s great for anybody looking for a new summer appropriate lipstick. Even after fading it leaves behind plump and lush looking lips which attribute anyone’s features.

Though I’d expect something more from a big name like gigi hadid but this isn’t doing much justice. I’d expect a more superior quality since it’s more pricey than regular maybelline lipsticks. I’d any day pick the maybelline creamy matte lipsticks which are for ₹299 and have a mid blowing quality. Overall a great lipstick of amazing quality with a genuine price tag.
