In Detail Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder Afterglow 01 Review, Swatches and My Experience

I came across this highlighter when I was shopping on the Diwali sale last year. It seemed like a great buy at 25% off.

The packing of this product is very high end. A sleek golden base with a clear lid. The packing is well built and it has a click lock so this gorgeous beauty won’t open up. Due to the presence of the click lock it is a bit hard to open for ladies with long nails. I managed to chip mine in the process. My favourite part is It the beautiful wavy design impression on it, feels like a beachside vibe.

Onto to the shade. It is a light champagne golden with a white base. It has a beautiful pearlised sheen.

When applied with the fan brush it gives a nice sheer highlight on the first go. It has good pigmentation but the pigmentation needs to be build up in order to bring out the true goddess highlight. It will give you a nice sheen at first and eventually as you pack it on it will build up to give you nice strong champagne sheen.

Though there are no visible glitter particles but definitely it’s powdery nature gives a more shimmer finish.

Coming onto the texture. the texture is extremely smooth to the touch and soft. It is so buttery soft that can probably break very easily if you dig in too deep or use your fingers to apply it. So I will not recommend you to do that.

It is not it all powdery in the pan and does not fly around in the pan which is something I personally something I like. It is definitely buttery to touch but application is more on the powdery side.

It did emphasize your my skin texture a little bit but eventually as I set it with the setting spray everything melted down and became gorgeous as ever. It will give a shimmer finish with first applied but the spray is necessary for me as I don’t like the shimmer look. The spray makes the highlighter pop and gives a more metallic look.

On my skin the highlight stayed for around seven hours after which it started feeding. This in my opinion is a great staying power for a highlighter as we normally do not wear highlight on every day basis.

It did not spread or disintegrated throughout the day. There is definitely transfer if you touch your face a lot so avoid doing that.

The formula of the powder is said to offer a radiant finish which is somewhat true. The consistency is extremely soft and buttery. It will give decent pigmentation at first and then gives you time to build the product up without being cakey. It’s definitely is a sheer highlighter.

I feel that it will work well for all skin types but if you have really large prominent pores then you might want to try something else. It woll seriously emphasis your texture like no other. Other than that this highlighter is very metallic and medium toned, something which every Indian festive look can carry.

That being said don’t shy away from using it for your normal days as well since it gives a very nice luminous glow. I personally really liked it because of how soft and sheer at first it is and then eventually you can build it up to give you that omph.

It is slightly pricey here in India for a ₹1325 and does not even offer as many shades. But shade afterglowjust works really well and I love the formula of this.
