We all remember the time when these bright, neon coloured, glitter masks were all over Instagram on every blogger’s and influencer’s page, it looked so interesting but the brands that offered glitter masks were quite expensive and then Nykaa came with their own glitter masks which were quite affordable making it easier to experiment with.

To be honest I did not buy it immediately after it was launched, I bought it way later when there were some offers going on at the websites.

The one that I have with me is the age rewind variant. It comes in a golden bright yellow neon kind of packaging. The color of packing is different for different variants so if you have a couple of these you won’t be confused to find the mask you were looking for. Its colour coded. It has a pretty bright coloured theme going on and it gives out a very strong vibe that they are all glitter/shimmer masks. It’s a peppy packing all in all.

It comes in a tube with a white flip cap and has a small opening which is perfect considering the consistency of the mask. you can easily control how much product you want to take out of the tube.

It comes with a small silicone-based mask brush kind of applicator which gives you a clean and hassle-free application. Since the brush is silicone based its safer to use and easy keep it free of germs and bacteria.

Another plus with this applicator is that it is easier to clean just wash it water just after application and leave it to dry for a couple of hours on a paper towel.

The mask is of a free-flowing liquid consistency, it not very thick or very watery. but when you apply it on your face and try to spread it, that is when it feels very thick and difficult to spread.

The only way to apply it is to be generous with the application and not try too hard to spread it. It just ends up tugging on your skin and its quite uncomfortable having a sticky mask tugging on your face, so just be generous with the product.

It does take a lot of it, usually peel off masks can be applied in a thin layer and you can build the thickness as per your choice but not with this one.

I have used it 4 or 5 times and I guess I have enough left to apply it a couple more times. What I can say about this mask with absolute certainty is that it will give you that clean fresh glowing skin. Its instant and visible.

If you are someone who has combination which is very oily in the summer. It takes off that oily look from the face and it looks so clean and I love that.

If I have to say about the ‘age rewind’ claim of this mask, I really cant say. for any product to act on its anti-ageing agents, regular application over the course of at least a few months is must. it is impossible for any off the counter masks to give you younger looking skin in just a couple of uses.

Ingredients like caffeine, raw honey and gold extracts are proven to be very effective on the skin. they circulate blood and reduce puffiness, keeps the skin wrinkle free and supple. its also being mentioned that the mask has gold particles in it which is said to promote collagen and blood flow.

The only thing that would have made it an ideal mask is if the quantity was more or the quantity to be applied was lesser.

Be generous while applying the mask, there are two reasons behind that

one – that’s the only way you’ll be able to spread the product all over your face and
two– the mask is concentrating on giving you that temporary glow, to get the maximum glow out of single application we have to be a bit generous, if its too thin it won’t peel off and you won’t get the desired results afterall
at the end of the day we are going for the glow with these glitter masks
