How to Use Nykaa Lips Don’t Lie Line & Fill Lip Liner

1. Create a cross on your cupid’s bow.
2. Start lining from the centre of your upper lip.
3. Work from the centre towards the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth.
4. Line the bottom lip.
5. Overline if you want to

The NYKAA Lips Don’t Lie! Lip Liner Comes in 10 shades. The shade range consists of 4 n*des, 3 pinks, 2 reds and 1 plum colors. The one I have, Heartbreaker is from the plum shade family so obviously I was expecting it to be a little darker and have more plum to it, but to my disappointment it is like a darker n*de plum tinted shade. Its not a brighter-darker sort of a shade but more like a muted one. I had something else in mind when I ordered this.

The lip pencil comes in a wooden concept which make it eco-friendly. Though it is a wooden lip pencil but it does not come with a sharpener and you’d ponder why. You’ll have to order it separately if you want one. I am not a fan of wooden pencils for the same reason, we need to sharpen it after a couple uses and that means wasting a bit of product every time we sharpen. No matter how much we try to not overdo it, or just slightly sharpening we end up wasting the product.

The lip liners are all colour coded and the body of the pencil is almost the same as that of the product with a black cap. The outer packing is a rectangular box which is made out of black matte cardboard with details printed in the same colour as that of the product.

The outer box is quite thin so opening and closing it again and again leads to tearing of the edges pretty soon. The pencil has a plastic sheet packing as well which we have to tear-off before we can use it.

It is travel friendly and can be carried around even in your evening bag. That’s one benefit a pencil product that these don’t take much space but at the same time if the cap falls off, it ruins the insides of your bag pretty badly. The cap of this one closes tightly and doesn’t come off easily when you try to open it so its safe to use but I would still suggest to keep your pencil cosmetic product in a separate pouch.

The formula is very creamy and soft. It glides on easily without being uncomfortable on the lips in any way. It feels very smooth post application. One thing that bugs me is the fragrance it has, it is mild but difficult to point out as it feels it smells a bit waxy with a bit of something else. It’s barely there and goes away in a couple of hours.

It is not at all long lasting. If you use it as a liner with a lipstick or if you use it to fill in the lips don’t be surprised if it doesn’t stay for long and vanishes even if you aren’t having any meals. In an hour of two, its gone.

If by mistake you rub your lips, the product will be all over but on the lips! Even if you let it dry it doesn’t stick. Every hour or two you have to reapply. If you use it as a lipstick make sure you top it up with a long-lasting lipstick

It can easily be removed with a tissue paper or a paper towel very easy with a wet wipe. You don’t even need a makeup remover for this. It comes off at once so no scrubbing or tugging will be needed.
