So I thought it’s a great deal and ordered it and few more stuffs from Nyx. I am using this powder continuously for 3 weeks now and I like it.

In Detail NYX HD Finishing Powder Banana Review, Swatches and My Experience

The Nyx Hd powder comes wrapped in a thin polythene that’s it. It does not come with any outer cardboard box. The actual compact powder rests in a round sleek compact case which has a transparent lid with the Nyx logo as well as range name printed on it. Also there are some information printed on the back of the compact case.

This powder does not have any sponge or mirror inside it. The lid of the compact closes tightly and hence it can be carried in a handbag easily.

These powders comes in 3 shades according to my information it is available in white translucent, mint green and light yellow. I am reviewing the shade light yellow here.

The NYX Banana shade is little lighter for my skin tone (MAC NC42) so when this powder came to me and I opened it, first I was shocked to see how light that yellow colour looked. This shade will be perfect for lighter skin for baking the under eye area I thought.

I once baked my under eye area with a beauty blender using this powder and it looked very light in that way. But when I applied this with a kabuki brush all over my face I was amazed at the results! as it overall brightened my whole complexion and my face was looking flawless.

The powder is very finely milled and it’s so soft to touch it feels like silk. It glides on my face so smoothly and effortlessly and does not look patchy or ashy if applied with brushes.

I love to only set my under eye area with it and also for reverse contouring it nicely highlights my under eye area and I love the way it comes out. I also sometime dust this powder all over my face when my face is feeling tired and dull.

The finish of this powder is matte. As I have oily skin I like the way it keeps my face matte and oil free. But if you have dry skin than you should definitely apply a good hydrating moisturizer beneath or a hydrating foundation.

I apply a good eye cream before applying this powder and it works amazingly well that way as my under eye area is always dry. I have a problem of thin fine lines on my eyes and it fills in that and does not makes it crease for longer period of time.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t last as long as I would like it to. This lasts about 4-5 hours on my oily skin before I feel the need for touch up.
