In Detail NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick Exotic Review, Swatches and My Experience

Now I’m all for looking for affordable good makeup. I love a good bargain, and when drugstore products work just as well or better then high end products, I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot. More on that later, lets focus on this liquid lipstick in particular!

So my color preference in circling around all sorts of nudes, particularly, orangey / peachy browns. I love them on my skin tone! Sadly I haven’t been able to find my perfect color yet. So I’m on the lookout. When I saw Exotic online I thought maybe this is the color I’ve been looking for. So I ordered it.

Now I was a bit nervous ordering a NYX liquid lipstick because I absolutely HATE the soft matte lip creams. I don’t know how people wear them or how they are so popular. However I do love the liquid suede formula so I was hoping the lip lingerie line was a hit rather than a miss.

First of all let me just say, sadly it wasn’t as orange as I thought it was going to be, rather more of a pink brown which is what I seem to have too many of in hopes of finding the perfect color. It’s really frustrating! Regardless the color is still pretty.

Formula wise, it’s a thick mousse like consistency. It applies smoothly on the lips and is pretty opaque. It dries down matte but not transfer proof. It’s not uncomfortable but it does get drying with time.

including eating and drinking – It held up pretty decently. There is a bit of fading and the product has just come off the middle. But its otherwise still intact!

Whilst it’s not my favourite liquid lipstick formula, it’s still one of the better ones, considering it is drugstore. I think this line is nice for those people who stray away from colored lip products. The formula is decent, as it lasts decently as well and it’s pretty light on the pocket.
