NYX Matte Lipstick Merlot MLS16 Review, Swatches: Hello Guys, Today I am back with another review and I will be reviewing a lipstick from NYX named as NYX Matte Lipstick in the shade Merlot. I love NYX products especially their lipsticks and base products.

I bought quite a few stuffs from NYX from Nykaa also month back as it was on a great discount. I used you use their matte lipsticks 4 years back and I had quite alot of them but I just threw all of them as it was expired, I got the shade Merlot now and I love this shade it has become my go to shade recently.

In Detail NYX Matte Lipstick Merlot MLS16 Review, Swatches and My Experience

It comes in a round sleek matte black case. In the middle of it there is a transparent panel where one can see the shade of the lipstick which we all know is always nicel. It has the lipstick ingredient, shade name and everything mentioned on it which is quite helpful. It has a black shut lock cap which closes with a click and hence the lipstick is travel friendly.

These lipsticks come in a lot of shades from reds to pinks and to neutrals for every skin tone. The shade I am reviewing today is named as Merlot. Merlot is a very beautiful everyday wear cool toned pink color.

As I said earlier I wear this shade more often because it brightens my skin and the color is not to stark to be worn on day time. This is also a very beautiful universally flattering shade and will suit almost all Indian skin tone very well.

The texture of this lipstick is amazing. Its not at all drying on lips. No tugging or pulling. But I still would suggest you to moisturize your lips well before putting it on as it looks odd on dry chapped lips if you have so.

It does settle into lip lines slightly, though it happens with most matte lipsticks so that’s not an issue for me. I don’t apply any lip balm as I don’t have dry lips so I skip this and is quite moisturizing for me as per my preference.

The lasting power is average and it stays for around 5 hours on my lips with slight fading from the center of the lips. The color fades after a full meal and it requires reapplication.

Removing the lipstick is easy; but it leaves a light pink stain on the lips, which is easy to remove and can be taken off using a wet wipes also.

Nyx matte lipsticks are a great range of matte lipsticks. They come in a wide selection of colors and are a great choice of everyday wear lipsticks.

Euro Trash in particular is a great shade. Matte lipstick which is creamy in texture and stays on for a decent amount of time.
