In Detail NYX Roll On Shimmer Almond Review, Swatches and My Experience

I was introduced to this product by one of my friend who works at Sephora India. I liked few shades but they were out of stock. But luckily I got this one shade called Almond. NYX roll on glitter was first glitter in my makeup collection and since then it has become my favourite glitter.

The almond shade is a bronze colour with micro gold glitter. NYX roll on glitter comes in an elegant transparent packaging with a black cap. The transparent plastic tube makes the glitter shade easily visible. The best part about the packaging is that it has a roll on applicator that makes the application easier. Using the roll on, the product can also be transferred to the brush or hand.

The packaging is travel friendly which makes it easy to carry in your clutches for touch ups. This shimmer is not only meant for eyes but can also be used on face and body. It is not much pigmented in terms of colour but the glitter pay off is excellent which makes it my favourite glitter as I can use it with any eye shadow.

If I use it without a primer, it stays for around 3-4 hours but if I apply it with an eye primer it lasts for 6-7 hours. When we think of applying a glitter the first thing that comes in mind is the fallouts. But with this glitter you don’t need to worry, it hardly has any fall outs. Isn’t it a relief that we can create a glittery eye makeup look without those messy fall outs? Apart from eyes, I also like using it as a shimmer highlighter.

How to Use NYX Roll On Shimmer – Professional Tips

Its application method is very easy.

1. You can use it with or without any eye base. Start with applying an eye primer (I use MAC 24 hours eye extended eye primer). This will make it last longer. After applying the primer, apply the product on the eye lid using the roll on applicator. The glitter can also be applied using the brush or a finger.

2. It can also be applied on the eye shadow to make the eye shadow look glittery. For this all you have to do is, when the eye makeup is complete, use a brush or the roll on applicator and pat the product on the area where you want glitter.

3. To make it look intense load the product on the brush and spray MAC fix plus from an arm’s distance. Now pat the product

It is a good product. It is my favorite glitter. I don’t advice using it without an eye shadow or a primer as it would not last you long. Nice as a soft highlighter specially for dusky skin people.
