I really love NYX makeup and recently I got this primer from nykaa. This primer is named as NYX Total Control Drop Primer. I actually love to stock different primers as I have oily skin. Also, if you have oily skin you can relate, how difficult it is for us to keep our skin matte and make our foundation long lasting.

I am always in a search for a good quality yet affordable primer. Whenever I see one, I grab it ASAP. To know how this primer fared on my oily skin, please keep on reading my views below which I have explained briefly.

In Detail NYX Total Control Drop Primer Review, Swatches and My Experience

Nyx total control drop primer comes in a black rectangular cardboard box with every important information related to the product printed on it. The primer comes in a see through frosted glass bottle which has product name and nyx logo printed on it.

The bottle has dropper dispenser which makes this primer unique. The cap closes tightly and can be carried around with us easily. Make sure that you handle it with care because it is glass bottle and can break if it is dropped accidentally. Overall the packaging of it is very unique and luxurious.

It has faint smell which is not bothersome at all. This primer is milky white in color with a hint of pink tinge in it.

The texture of this primer is runny and liquid-y same as their total control drop foundation. I have that too and will review it later. It glides on my face very smoothly and evenly.

I take a 3 drops of it and massage it all over my face especially concentrating on the areas where I have pores issues that is my nose, and cheeks. This primer instantly smoothens out my skin and provides a smooth canvas to slather my makeup smoothly and evenly.

One thing that I have noticed with this primer is that- please do not use more than 3 drops of this because it will smoothen out your skin to the next level and your foundation will slip (I hope you are understanding what am I trying to explain)

This nyx primer instantly smoothens my skin out and it settles to a velvety finish which is matte. If you have dry skin than you will have to moisturise your face first and than use this.

The staying power of makeup becomes better when used over this nyx face primer. Usually my makeup stays for 4-5 hours when applied without primer and 6-7 hours when used with this primer.

I have oily skin and this nyx total control drop primer does a great job in controlling oil as well. The formula is not that hydrating so ladies who have dry skin will need a moisturizer beneath this otherwise the skin may look quite dry.

1) This is not very hydrating so dry skinned beauties will need to moisturize the skin first.
2) A little expensive as compared to the quantity provided.

MBF Advices

1. Face primer plays a really important role in making your final look polished and smooth. Therefore, never skip primer when going for important functions or events.
2. Allow your primer to sink in your pores for about 2 minutes and then do your makeup.
