In Detail Organic Harvest Anti Dandruff Shampoo Review, Swatches and My Experience
The shampoo comes in a round white plastic opaque bottle with a flip open cap. I like flip open caps the best as they are convenient and spill proof. Its a tall bottle with a sturdy packaging. I would say it is a little too big to be called travel friendly. A smaller version would be easier to carry.
The smell is pleasant and nice. Its an herbal formulation so it has a kind of natural fruity fragrance which is mild and not overpowering.
The shampoo has a consistency which is on the thinner side. Its always easy to work with products that have thin texture. It lathers well and quickly hence, spreads easily. The color of the product is pale green which gives a rather organic feel to the product.
Usage & Effects
I use this shampoo on my hair twice a week to keep dandruff at bay. The good thing is like most anti-dandruff shampoos its not drying in nature. In fact it makes your hair soft. The product is very gentle in formulation but effective in cleansing the scalp. As I mentioned earlier its thin consistency helps in working up quick lather.
There is no fragrance imparted to the hair as such, whatever little mild fragrance is there also fades away soon.
Does it work on Dandruff?
Now coming to the major concern i.e. dandruff. The shampoo does not fare very well in this department. I did not see any major difference in my dandruff in the initial few washes. It took at least 4-5 washes to feel some change.
The dandruff reduced to some extent but no major change was observed. I felt since its an organic product, it will take its time to show results.
It couldn’t completely cure dandruff and whatever little dandruff control action it did, lasted only till you use the shampoo. The moment you stop using it, dandruff comes back.
Overall, I would not recommend this shampoo to cure dandruff as it does not show significant results.
From an expensive shampoo like this one, you expect a little more than just being an effective and gentle cleanser. I am not buying it again as it has the qualities of a good shampoo but not a good anti-dandruff shampoo.
