Organix Awapuhi Ginger Shampoo

Hiii Girlies

Like any other girl, I have spent a lot of time and money hunting for a shampoo that really works. I have tried L’oreal, herbal essence, dove etc. Until recently, sulphate free shampoos were not very famous in India. Now there are many brands with sulphate free shampoos but these are reachable only online.
I don’t have to talk about the advantages of non- sulphate shampoos as I am sure everyone is aware of it. I started trying sulphate free shampoos since last year.
Organix Awapuhi Ginger Shampoo

Organix was recently launched in India by a few online sites. I decided to get the Organix Awapuhi Ginger Shampoo as it looked like it should work for my hair type. I have long wavy hair. I suffer from oily scalp and dry hair with occasional dandruff.

Claims:
  Strengthen hair
  Mend split ends
Return moisture to dry & damaged hair
  Heals brittle, frizzy, unruly hair
So it has the following ingredients:
Aqua (DI Water), Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Dimethicone Copolyol, Cocamide DEA, Glycol Distearate, Hedychium Coronarium Root Extract (Awapuhi White Ginger), Hydrolyzed Keratin, Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter (Cocoa Butter), Parfum, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil), Persea Gratissima Oil (Avocado Oil), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract (Aloe Leaf Extract), Panthenol, Polyquaternium-11, DMDM Hydantoin, Cetyl Alcohol, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, PEG-23M, Yellow 5, Red 40.
It does not have any sulphate, paraben or silicone, which is great.
It says it works for repairing, mending and adding silky softness to even the driest, damaged hair. I read this part and I was very excited to try it then and there.
It has Hawaiian awapuhi ginger plants extract and keratin proteins, which are, suppose to strengthen the hair. Also I did some research online and found that ginger works great on dandruff.
So this looks like a little bottle of treasures 🙂

MRP is 626 INR and you can get offers depending on which site you are buying it from. It has 385 ml, which is pretty good.

My verdict
I like the consistency of this shampoo. It is not very runny, just okay to use. Looks slightly pinkish. It smells so good that I can smell it all day long. It smells of fresh air with a hint of berries.
It lathers well on wet hair. You can feel that this has made your hair tangle free right inside the shower. You can run your fingers through your hair in the shower like you are doing a herbal essence add 😀
After drying, I noticed my hair dried faster than it usually would. My hair was soft with added shine. Some people say that it provides heat protection also which sounds good as I regularly straighten my hair. My hair also had very less tangles than normally they have.
So basically this cleaned the hair eliminated all the buildup from the hair without leaving any residue and left hair soft and shiny. What else do we want 😛
So this is my favorite shampoo as of now.
I cannot say all time favorite because if I use a shampoo for a long time, my hair kind of stops responding to it as it gets used to it. So, I will be using this as of now.
What I like:
1.  Organic
2.  Nice smell
3.  Softens hair and adds shine
4.  Eliminates frizz and tangles to a great extent
5.  Does everything what it claims
6.  Isn’t costly considering the quality and amount we are getting
What I don’t like:
1.  Not readily available in all supermarkets
2.  They could have added a pump dispenser as there is a lot of shampoo in the bottle and that would have been easier to use in the shower
Rating
5/5
