Oriflame The ONE IlluSkin Concealer Review, Swatches: Hello Lovely ladies! I really need to start my review by appreciating my fellow bloggers, out there! All of you have shared some really pretty makeup looks on the blog and I sure am drawing some makeup inspirations from you. Talking about makeup, what I personally feel is the most important part of your entire makeup look is your base. If you have managed to create a smooth base, the rest of the hues from your blush and if you are using some illuminators or bronzers, automatically stand out really well.
To create an even makeup base, we definitely need three products: Primer, Foundation and concealer and accessories to apply them.I did not require much of concealers, earlier but now, I do need a small dollop of them to cover patchiness around my eyes. This discolouration has got something to do with hormones, I guess. Anyhow, I am not too fussy.
Tip: Pineapple juice has really really helped to improve the dark bags around my eyes. It is far better than Lemon juice as it stings much less.Great Alternative as a natural Bleaching agent for Sensitive skin.Apply it with a cotton ball dipped in Fresh Pineapple Juice.
Okay, so talking about Concealers, one of the more recently bought ones I have is Oriflame-The one Illuskin concealer. The shade that blends the most naturally with my under eye area and around corners of my lips is called, Nude Beige. Let’s go ahead with the detailed Oriflame The One Illuskin Concealer review…
Claims of Oriflame The One Illuskin Concealer
I cannot find any claims mentioned on the packaging, as such.I guess, Oriflame considers the name Illuskin Concealer, self-explanatory…okay, justified.
The Oriflame website describes this Concealer to be based on HaloLightTM Technology which helps to create an effect of illuminated skin by hiding blemishes and brightening your face.
In my words, I would explain illuskin concealer as a concealer that creates an illusion of illuminated skin 😉
There are three shades in this range of concealers. These are more suitable for fair to medium skin tones, nothing for dark skinned damsels, yet. Oriflame needs to add a couple of shades to this range for the dusky beauties.
Price of Oriflame The One Illuskin Concealer
10 ml tube is available for INR 349.00
How to use
Apply this after CTM and using primer. There are different opinions on whether to apply the concealer before or after using Foundation. So, you pick whatever floats your boat! You may dispense the product on a clean makeup palette and use a concealer brush to dab it into your skin. Or use the pads of your fingers. Let it settle and then dust with a translucent powder.
For spot concealing, the nozzle can be used to precisely deposit the product, just where it is required.
In Detail Oriflame The ONE IlluSkin Concealer Review, Swatches and Experience
The One concealers from Oriflame come in a really cute looking tube. The tube is sleek and super-duper handy. You can actually carry it in your pocket, anywhere. There is a nozzle on the tube that allows the product to be squeezed out in controlled quantities. For me, two drops of the product are enough to cover up the patchiness around my eyes, mouth and moderately dark acne scars on my cheeks.
Texture is creamy, not runny, not thick. Just right to work with and blend into skin. I use a concealer brush to apply this product but you can use the finger pads, as well. I like using a brush because, I feel it helps the entire blending thing go very effortlessly.
Tip: Do not use the dotting method for concealers, in the under eye area. Always use the inverted triangle method to hide your dark circles. You could benefit some youtube videos to master this technique.
It sets with a natural finish, “dewy”, I can safely say. Since, it does not have a perfect powdery finish, it would not settle or crease in fine lines. So, you can be carefree this aspect.
P.S I have a ugly burn mark on my hand which I have tried concealing with this product. You shall be able to appreciate that. It does commendably conceal the scar.
For just 350 bucks, this is an affordable product that performs pretty decently. No false claims, a product that delivers good results. A must have from my side.
