In Detail Philips Essential Care Air Straightener HP8658 Review and My Experience

I have got good volume in my hair but it comes at a cost. I am not comfortable using too much heat on my hair but during winters and humid weather my hair takes almost the whole day to dry. If I don’t blow dry them I catch cold and get a sore throat. I always struggled with the usual blow dryer. Handling a brush and the dryer simultaneously seemed an arduous task. While searching for a dryer I stumbled upon this genius tool by philips. I had to order this and it has been years since I am using it, no complaints whatsoever.

It comes in a cardboard box. The dryer is pink and white in color made out of good quality plastic. The cord has good length which makes it easy to use. The paddle brush has wide bristles that easily move through the hair without any tugging or pulling. After attaching the head to the handle it becomes a jumbo size dryer, I mean they could have tried making it a little sleeker so that one could carry it along easily. Never mind, it’s a petty issue, the advantages are far more.

How I Use it

I use it on damp hair, that is dried for some time using an old t-shirt. Then I apply heat protecting spray or serum and then begin blow drying. The good thing is if you are in a hurry you can use it as a normal dryer, just do not attach the comb. Mostly I use the thermoprotect setting and the paddle brush. It works just fine for me.

Effects

Now it is called air straightener because it will give you a smooth and finished look to your hair. Please do not confuse it with a straightener as it wont give you poker straight hair. I did not buy it to achieve straight hair and I am not even a fan of straight hair. Blow drying your hair with this becomes a piece of cake.

With a regular dryer I ended up taking too much time and was never able to adjust the distance properly. With Philips Air straightener there is no chance of burning your hair, just plug it and you are good to go.It saves so much times and I love the smooth finish that I get in a jiffy.

So all in all it has proved to be a great buy for me. I would recommend this to all those who are planning to buy a blow dryer but the ones planning to buy a straightener can skip this as 2 in 1 things never really work. It’s a dryer cum straightener but its more of a dryer that has a brush attached. I hope you get me. I love the convenience it gives me while drying my hair.
