Why Use Toners Regularly in Skin Care Routine?
Face toners help in shrinking pores, maintaining the ph. level of skin, combating oiliness and help in conditioning the skin. I have oily acne prone skin and just like all of you oily girls out there, I have my share of open pores and my skin tends to get oily after a few hours from washing my face.
Toners help me reduce the pores and also control the oil production. Most of the toners in the market have parabens and alcohol and am absolutely against using those on my skin. I came across the plum green tea toner while shopping online and decided to give it a try as I loved the claims they made.
The phrase alcohol free caught me immediately and to add to it, it was vegan, paraben free and cruelty free. The ingredient list seemed like it was specially curated for oily acne prone skinned girls and what more did I need?!
In Detail Plum Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner Review and My Experience
The plum green tea alcohol free toner comes in an opaque white plastic bottle with green labels.it has similar packaging to the face wash and moisturizer from the same range. The bottle has a press open cap and it is quite efficient in preventing leakage of the product.
The bottle is quite large and I don’t usually carry this while travelling. The actual product is transparent and very watery.
It feels exactly like water except for the cooling sensation and pleasant fragrance, it has the same fragrance all other products in the same range. I normally hate perfumed products but this one is just so soothing and pleasant and fades away after a while.
Since it does not have a spray mechanism, you need to pour it on a cotton ball or pad or pour it on your palm and then pat it on your face, I usually use cotton pads soaked in the product to tone my face. The press open cap can cause wastage of product if not used carefully. Sometimes when I’m in a hurry I end up dispensing too much product.
How I Use it
I use it twice a day after cleansing my face in the morning and at night before sleeping.it tightens the skin and gives a cooling, fresh feeling which lasts for quite some time.
My skin feels oil free and clean but not dehydrated. It still feels supple and soft. Usually all products break me out but this one performs extremely well on my skin and never broke me out.
It has glycolic acid which helps in controlling breakouts. It even helped in fading the acne marks and spots. It made my face look brighter and clearer in a month and it continues to improve the texture of my skin.
The number of open pores has decreased and the pores have tightened.one bottle lasts for three months for me and it is extremely affordable so its easy going on our wallets too.
This product caters to oily, sensitive skin and works quite well on normal skin too. However, I do not think dry skinned girls will benefit much from this toner. Overall this is a wonderful toner to use especially during the hot summer season and I absolutely love this one.
