Plum Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face Wash Review, Swatches: Hi guys. Today I shall be reviewing another product from PLUM. Previously I had reviewed the plum green tea renewed night clarity gel. Plum is one of my favourite drugstore skin care brands. It can actually level up to high ends brands in performance and quality. One of my favourite ranges from their brand is the green tea range. It caters to oily acne prone skin which is exactly my skin type.

In Detail Plum Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face Wash Review, Swatches and My Experience

Face wash is such an important part of our skin care regime and we need to select the product we use with care. People often tend to wash their faces with soap which is an extremely wrong practice and can damage skin severely in the long run.

You should first understand your skin type and then select the face wash accordingly. Beauties with dry, flaky skin can choose one with moisturising ingredients. On the other hand, oily skin beauties can use charcoal-based ones or such products that have ingredients that limit sebum production.

Acne prone skin types have to steer clear of acne-genic ingredients and look out for ones with tea tree extracts, aloe Vera etc. These fight active acne and fade the existing scars.

I searched far and wide for a face wash that would clean my skin, clear my pores and at the same time benefit my skin. My search ended when I found this face wash and it has become my holy grail. I finished four tubes of this and now would be the perfect time to give you guys the full review on this.

The plum green tea pore cleansing face wash is enriched with the goodness of green tea extracts. Green tea is an excellent anti-oxidant which prevents the formation of new acne while healing the existing ones. It also helps in anti-ageing.

This face wash has cellulose beads to exfoliate the skin gently while washing, this will remove all the dead cells and give a fresh appearance to your face. It is also free from parabens and phthalates which makes me even more attracted into this.

The product comes in the standard plum green tea range packaging. There is nothing special about it and looks basic and sturdy. The actual product comes in a white squeezy tube with a click shut cap. The packaging is mess free and travel friendly. I never had problems of leakage while travelling. The ingredients are mentioned on the carton and most of them were perfect for my acne prone skin.

The face wash has a gel consistency which is transparent with green cellulose beads which is intended for scrubbing action. It has a pleasant fragrance to it which is common to all the products from this range. It lathers up readily and you require just a pea sized amount if you’re wearing no makeup.

It cleans my skin wonderfully and gives a slight glow for a few hours after usage. It unclogs my pores and removes all dirt and dust and the clean feeling lasts for several hours. The cellulose beads also exfoliate your skin each time gently. It removes makeup residue quite efficiently.

I use this face wash thrice a day and it lives up to its claims for me. On continued usage I started noticing visible results after two weeks. My skin cleared up and looks healthy.

The bumps I had on my forehead gradually vanished and the frequency of acne reduced. The marks have lightened. I have been following the plum green tea regimen for the past few months now and it certainly did wonders for my skin.

I used to use the Himalaya neem face wash before this and I find this one to be a better option. The Himalaya face wash did not cause any side effects of its own, but did nothing good for my skin either. So far this the best face wash in the drugstore range aimed for acne prone skin I have come across and definitely recommend it you guys. Do try it out if you have sensitive oily skin like me and you are sure to love it.

MBF Advises

  1. Face washes should not be taken in surplus quantity. A coin sized amount is enough for the whole face.
  2. Massage the product into your skin so that it can effectively clear pores and clean the skin. The goodness of the active ingredients can act on your skin this way. Do not lather it up and simply wash it away. Give it time.
  3. Do not wash your face too many times a day as it can dry out skin.
  4. Never drag the towel to wipe your face and always pat dry.
