Ponds Sun Protect Non-Oily Sunscreen SPF 50 Review

I already used more than half of the tube of this sunscreen and finished the SPF 30 one. In Summers applying sunscreen is a must for me because I get tan very easily even if I am out for just half an hour. I tan my skin very badly especially my face and feets.

So I always make sure to apply a sunscreen no matter what when I am out. To know is this sunscreen worth buying than please keep on reading my views below.

About Ponds Sun Protect Non Oily Sunscreen SPF 50:

Most people believe that the only damaged caused by the sun is tanning or skin burning. However, dermatologists say that sun’s harsh UV rays not only cause skin tanning from outside but also damage skin from deep within. The damage caused due to exposure to the harsh rays of the sun leads to five major skin problems which are uneven patches, dark circles, fine lines, dark spots & redness.

The Pond’s Institute brings to you its breakthrough solution to fight all the problems caused by the sun – Pond’s Sun Protect Non-Oily Sunscreen. This Dermatologist tested formula with SPF 50 PA+++ helps protect your skin from sun damage issues.

How To Use Ponds Sun Protect Non-Oily Sunscreen SPF 50

In Detail Ponds Sun Protect Non-Oily Sunscreen SPF 50 Review, Swatches and My Experience

The ponds non oily sunscreen in spf 50 comes in a sleek and bright yellow colored tube. It has every necessary information written on it related to the product. This tube has a flip open cap which shuts really tightly and can be carried around really easily in our clutches or handbags.

It comes in 2 sizes 35 grams and 80 grams, I am reviewing a sunscreen which has 30 grams of the product in it. The packaging is very much similar to their spf 30 sunscreen nothing has changed.

Overall I really love the packaging of this ponds sunscreen it is small vibrant sleek and attention grabbing.

The smell of this sunscreen is very strong floral, which does disappear within seconds of application.

The texture of the sunscreen is little thicker as compared to their SPF 30 version. It is thick, creamy in texture. It gets absorbed on my skin really quickly.

How I Use it

I take a coin size amount of it on my palms and slather it on my face neck and hands and massage it for good about 1 to 2 minutes or till it is completely absorbed in my skin. Then I apply my bb cream or foundation as usual.

Unlike spf 30 this gives a white cast to my face which looks very grey and weird as I have dusky skin. But I do not have any problem in this as the white cast disappears as time goes by.

For me protecting my skin is more important than that of looking grey and white lol.

Effects

The finish it provides is not completely non oily. It does feels a little greasy and oily as compared to spf 30 version. As I mentioned above it has thick and creamy texture as compared to spf 30 one. The difference in texture and finish is not very pronounced though.

I have read in one of the articles in my favourite magazine that the difference between spf 30 and spf 50 is that spf 30 provides us with 97 percent protection from UVA and UVB rays while spf 50 gives us 98 percent protection from the rays.

It means, this has just 1 percent more protection. Also there is slight difference in texture of these two spf’s sunscreens.

This sunscreen does give good protection to my skin and my skin is getting less tan even if I am 1 or 2 hour outdoors. Although the claims that ponds made- that it will prevent 5 sun damage problems is not true according to me and it is just their marketing tactics according to me.

It is a nice sunscreen overall which surely protects against sun rays and prevents tanning. However, gives a slight white cast specially on dusky skin beauties.

But then this white cast slowly fades away. So if you are on a lookout for a budget friendly sunscreen which works decently, you make surely give this a try.
