In Detail Ponds White Beauty Pearl Cleansing Gel Review and My Experience
I thought this is actually going to have some really nice pearl extracts and some really nice oxygenated formula. As soon as I read the whitening claim and that too so strongly, I was very surprised. People still fall trap to this whitening claims. Until these companies stop showcasing “white skin” with so much glory, people are never going to learn how to be happy in their own skin. Anyway moving on,
This comes in a really pretty pink tube through which you can see the product inside clearly. It has these small beaded/bubbly looking things inside, which I thought were the pearl beads. But well, when you take the product in your hand, there are no beads. The gel has near uniform consistency. These things are basically air bubbles within the matrix of the gel. I guess they have tried to pack oxygen into those bubbles, but I am not sure as we have more oxygen in the air then those tiny little bubbles can ever provide.
This has classic signature Ponds scent, a little bit on the flowery side. The consistency is not really like a gel. It looks clear with suspended air bubbles but you don’t get the real gel feeling.
How I Use it
I take a dime sized amount of it and apply it on my wet facial skin. It immediately foams up into a nice lather. There is no bead like feeling or anything different from usual face washes. I like to massage it all over my face and neck and then wash it off.
It cleans my skin well, nothing which other decent face washes can’t do. In fact I find it slightly drying because I really need a moisturiser after I have used this. Honestly, I did not find anything special or extraordinary about this face wash. It just cleans my skin well like a normal skin cleanser. It did brighten up my skin temporarily, but it was only for 15-20 minutes.
I am not entirely happy with this face wash as I has really high hopes with it. It delivered none. No pearl beads or anything, just plain face wash with slightest brightening effects which lasts for a super short while.
PROs of Ponds White Beauty Pearl Cleansing Gel
1. Nice flip open top packaging.
2. Travel friendly.
3. Cleans the skin well.
4. Gives a temporary glow.
5. Did not irritate my skin.
6. Very pocket friendly.
CONs of Ponds White Beauty Pearl Cleansing Gel
1. Whitening/Fairness claims are false.
2. Dries out the skin a little bit.
3. Nothing extraordinary.
4. Creates high hopes but does not deliver them.
This is a nice facial cleanser just like many others in the market. No out of the box actions. I don’t know why they called it a “Pearl” cleanser. I guess they are referring to the air bubbles as pearl by virtue of their physical appearance inside the tube.
Do not expect this to give you fair skin, no product can miraculously transform the skin’s natural pigment. Be proud of your skin tone. Rather you must want a clear complexion. If you’re looking for a nice budget friendly face wash, you can try this one. I am disappointed with it basically because it had sky high claims but delivered none. If they hadn’t hyped it out so much and advertised it as it really is, I might have given it higher ratings.
