When I first came across this product, judging by the name, I thought this is a moisturiser with sunscreen because “global protection”. However, before I begin the actual review, please know that this is not a sunscreen and it does not contain any sunscreen element. This is a moisturiser and let’s talk more about it below.

How to Use REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream

After cleansing with Gentle Cleansing Gel, spread a hazelnut-sized amount of Redness Relief Serum between hands and press over clean skin until absorbed, starting with areas of high sensitivity working outwards. Finally, massage Global Protection Day Cream onto face and neck until absorbed.

In Detail REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream Review and My Experience

So this was the second time that I purchased this moisturiser. The first time, I had ordered a full size bottle from Sephora USA website. It took me about 2.5 months to finish that off. The second time, I purchased a smaller size from another website during lockdown. Now, I love experimenting and I keep on trying different products, so when I repurchase something, it usually means the product is really special.

According to REN this cream is made for beauties with sensitive skin. It has a really nice soothing smell to it, even if you have a sensitive nose, trust me it won’t bother you.

The texture of the cream appears thick with a smooth consistency. Although you might think this could be heavy, but in fact it is the opposite. It applies beautifully on the skin and moisturises really nicely. There is absolutely no greasiness or shine at all. And that my friends is why I simply love this cream. It is very hard to come across moisturisers which hydrate the skin so well and yet do not make you look like you are oily.

Even when my skin is super sensitive (Around that time of the month), this caused zero irritation on my skin and kept is soft and supple.

One of my friends used this cream and she complained that she didn’t notice any specific changes to her skin. Well its true. It is not going to target any specific skin concern. However, if you have sensitive skin this is one of the best moisturisers that I have come across till date that actually does what it claims.

And as far as the “global protection” goes, well they say the protection is meant against dehydration and free radicals.

I have been using this cream right after washing my face at night and it has worked great so far. I sometimes use my serums etc below it and even then, it adjusts well and soothes my skin.

I have normal – dry skin type, and this feels like it is just enough for me. So basically I have two concerns when it comes to this product. One, if it will be enough for even those with drier skin type. Second, I feel like when you come up with a moisturising day cream, isn’t it wise to add some level of sun protection factor in it?

REN also has a night cream. So if you’re looking specifically for a night time moisturiser, do check out their website for the same. For me personally, this has been working really good. It gives me just the right amount of moisturisation without making me feel or look greasy.
