A lipstick that’s so true to its name, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Chocolate Velvet has a nice chocolate brown color with a creamy finish. Its rather satiny and shiny and does not need any gloss to be topped up with. The lipstick does not have any fragrance and gives a good amount of color in a single application.

Pigmentation

One does not need to worry about pigmentation issues at all when using this lipstick. It’s very opaque and brown in color and hence no pigmentation issues at all. It glides on super easily and does not bleed at all so one does not need to use a lip liner. The lipstick also does not settle between the lines.

Staying Power, Transferability

It stays intact easily up to 4-5 hours until one drinks or eats anything. It transfers a lot and one is left hardly any color on the lips after a meal creating a need for reapplication. Hence I always carry this lipstick with me on days that I use it as I reapply this after every meal or drink. No wonder the lipstick gets over quite quickly and I end up buying more and more of it.

Packaging

The packaging of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Chocolate Velvet is simple black colored twist up type. The cap has a transparent tip that shows the lipstick inside. But practically speaking it hardly helps if one has different shades of single color. The other end has the name written on it though.

In a pack wherein you have more lipsticks of the same type one may find it difficult to find the needful. For this reason, I have a habit of keeping different shades in different compartments in the box or the drawer together. My pinks are together in one compartment while browns in different one as it becomes easier that way to pick when in hurry. For people who love browns this is definitely a must try shade.
