In Detail Revlon PhotoReady Airbrush Effect Makeup Foundation Review, Swatches, Demo and My Experience
Texture and finish
It has creamy texture which is not as runny as liquid but not as thick as mousse. Also, it is very easy to blend and get absorbed into the skin quickly. It consists of very minute glitter specks which is not prominent at one glance of the bottle. But when applied and blended one can easily recognise the glitter specks on the face and neck. Due to the glitter particles the foundation gives dewy finish.
Coverage
The foundation gives medium to full coverage. I am not a concealer person and try to cover my blemishes with 2 layers of foundation. With one layer it almost provides full coverage if there are not much hyper pigmentation or blemishes on the face. But one with blemish or acne prone skin, one needs minimum two layers of it to cover the flaws on the face.
My Application
I usually apply first layer with my makeup sponge because it even outs the skin tone. Then I prefer to dab the products under my eyes and on my blemishes just to hide them. I top everything with my Maybelline super stay compact.
My Experience
The shade caramel is little bit darker for me. But when topped with light shade compact it looks like my second skin. I always use primer prior to any foundation. However for the sake of review, I use it in both ways with primer and without primer. With use of primer underneath I have noticed the increase in longevity and no tacky feel. But without primer it faded off in 5 hours of wear with very heavy and tacky feel to it.
The foundation itself works as concealer with twice or thrice layers. I am not fond of dewy finish as sometimes it looks over boarded with highlighter on top of it. I usually prefer matte foundations. The fact that it contains glitter specks doesn’t make it suitable for everyday or official wear. It feels very heavy on the skin and bit tacky too after application, the tackiness goes away after few minutes of application.
Staying Power
It stays intact on my face for 4 hours (without primer) without any fading but as my face started sweating the foundation has melted and makes me appear cakey. With course of time it faded on the top of my nose , upper lips and most parts of my forehead. I blotted my face to get rid of excess oil and sweat but still that doesn’t worked out.
