Revlon Super Lustrous Pearl Lipstick Iced Mocha 315 Review, Swatches: Hi Friends, hope you read my review on Revlon Chocolate Velvet 302. Today I am going to review a lipstick from the same family. It’s called Revlon Super Lustrous Pearl Lipstick Iced Mocha. Revlon’s chocolate Velvet had a crème finish and hence its texture was creamy, smooth provided a good amount of pigmentation in a single swipe. Revlon Super Lustrous Pearl Lipstick- Iced Mocha 315 has a Pearl finish which is also creamy textured with some amount of sheen. The lipstick reminds me of the color and style that heroines used to wear in 2000’s movies.

Kareena had worn a similar shade in many movies. To be frank it’s quite a tricky shade to wear in today’s trend and I feel cool toned girls will be able to carry it with much ease as compared to warm toned ones. Please read on the full review of the same.

I am still clueless about when and how this lipstick entered my kitty. I remember vaguely that I was a huge fan of Revlon lipsticks some time ago and I had hoarded some 4-5 shades in the Lustrous range. I always wanted to try on some metallic shade and I believed that a dark brown or purple would be appropriate for it and would look good with most outfits. Revlon’s Lustrous lipsticks come in 4 finishes – Crème, Pearl, Sheer and Matte. Revlon Super Lustrous Pearl Lipstick Iced Mocha is true to its name it has the Mocha color which is brown and has a pearly finish. It is quite moisturizing as are the other lip colors from Revlon’s Lustrous range.

To define the packaging all, the Revlon’s lustrous lipsticks come in a black tube type packaging with a golden ring at the center. The cap has a transparent top from where the color of the lipstick can be seen. The name and number of the lipstick is printed on the other end. While most packaging’s are black there were few of them which came in other shades too not sure if they were the limited edition though.

Coverage, Texture

The lipstick has a cosmetic fragrance to it which is not over powering. A single swipe of the lipstick gives a decent amount of color however to make the color look opaque I generally swipe it 2-3 times. The lipstick does not bleed despite having moisturizing texture. It has little bit of sheen particles in it which gives the metallic look.

Staying power

The lipstick stays on for 5 hours easily leaving some amount of color on the lips which can be wiped out with any make up remover. I generally do not use any lip pencil while using this and it very much stays intact. It does not make the lips heavy. It’s quite moisturizing and can be directly applied on the lips without the need for any lip balm underneath.

I have a warm tone fair complexion and it kind of looks dull on me however my sister who is fairer than me and is cool toned is able to flaunt the color so well that I ended up giving this lippie as a gift to her. The lipstick is easily available across many stores and is decently priced.
