Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation with Comfort Serum Review, Swatches: Hello Girls, Today I am reviewing a foundation from Rimmel named as Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation. Rimmel brand was first available on Nykaa but then it disappeared from the site and then nykaa launched it again few months ago and that too with various more ranges which weren’t earlier available here in India. This range is one of them which wasn’t there on Nykaa first.

I have tried two Rimmel foundation variants years back and was not a fan of them which was the stay matte one and another one was match perfection. The moment I saw this on Nykaa I purchased it asap. To know how this foundation fared to me, please keep on reading my views below.

How To Use Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

1. Apply the foundation with a brush, makeup sponge, or your fingers.
2. When using a foundation brush, lightly feather the product, starting where there is the most discoloration and blending outward.
3. You may even apply using your fingers, by blending with a cross-hatch pattern starting where there is the most discoloration and blending outwards.

In Detail Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation with Comfort Serum Review, Swatches and My Experience

The Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation comes in a sleek and sturdy glass bottle which has all the information about the foundation printed on the front and back of the bottle. It has a red colored shut lock cap where a Rimmel brand logo is embossed which looks very pretty. Also the foundation comes with a pump dispenser which makes easy to use the foundation without any wastage. The packaging is good lightweight and sturdy which makes it apt for travelling and we can carry it easily around.

The foundation has a mild scent to it which isn’t over powering and will not irritate sensitive noses.

This foundation is launched in 9 shades in India which caters more towards light medium skintone and there is just 1 or two shades for dusky beauties whereas there are multiple shades launched internationally.

I request Rimmel to launch more shades here in India for dusky skin tone beauties as well. The foundation shade I am reviewing today is named as True Nude. This shade is slightly light for my Nc42 skin tone but works well and does not look greyish.

The consistency of this foundation is semi thick and glides on my skin effortlessly. I use this foundation with Beauty blender for a natural look and a kabuki brush for some coverage. The foundation blends seamlessly and does not provide any patchy look.

The coverage of the foundation is medium, so if you have problematic skin with dark spots this foundation is not for you as it will not completely hide your dark circles or acne spots you will need a concealer for that.

I suffer from dark spots left by acne and I don’t use this foundation quite often especially at day time for night outs it’s good.

The finish of the foundation is dewy I mean it is not matte nor very dewy it’s something in between. For my oily skin I don’t like using this in summers and for dry skin girls this can be good.

This foundation is suitable for dry to very dry skin and not for extremely oily skin like mine. The foundation claims that’s it’s 25 hour foundation though cannot prove that; as who really wears foundation for 25 hours! But it does stays for good 4 to 5 hours. However, my forehead and nose area looks shiny and I have to blot it with my mattifying compact in order to make it look fresh again.

MBF Advises

I will not.recommend oily skin girls to.purchase this foundation. All Rimmel foundations I have tried so far are only meant for dry skin type in my opinion. Also, their Stay matte foundation provides dewy finish.

The foundation is good lightweight provides natural finish but it does not cover my dark spots well for which I use foundations. I will love to try other foundations in this price range in future rather than purchasing this again. But if you have dry skin than definitely give this a shot.
