I saw a lot of influencers talk about another product from the same brand which is their Australian Emu Super Bounce Mask. On their official website, Sand & Sky call it the Sand & Sky Australian Glow Berries Super Bounce Mask, however, on the product it says Emu apple bounce mask. If you know whats going on with the names, let me know please.

Now, I am super into hydrating and moisturising masks and hence, I couldn’t wait to try this out. I’ve been using this for almost a month now. So today, I am ready to share my views, my experience with this amazing face mask which no doubt has been wonderful when used the right way.

In Detail Sand & Sky Australian Emu Apple Super Bounce Mask Review and My Experience

The Australian glow berries or emu apple mask comes a very charming berry coloured tub. It is a glass tub so you got to be careful but its just too cute to look at. It comes housed in a paper box which has every information about the product that you might need. I love how they have made the packaging minimalistic and yet super original. They have an applicator along with every tub. In the 100 g packaging, they provide an applicator brush. In the 30 g packaging, they provide a spatula.

The actual product looks beautiful with its light pink berry colour. It has a very unique consistency like that of a jelly cake, quite bouncy actually. Also, has a berry inspired scent in it. The texture of the mask is smooth and is fairly easy to use if you figure out how to apply this right.

To be completely honest, I do not use the tiny spatula that came along, I almost always use fingers. I have a habit of washing my face with a non foaming cleanser and then with copious amounts of water before using any face mask. Hence, I always make sure my fingers are super clean before applying anything on my face. Moreover, this mask is quite bouncy, so applying with a spatula or a brush may lead to product wastage I feel. Also, applying this particular mask with fingers is way easier than applying it with anything else.

I need about a coin sized amount of the mask to fully cover it all over my face. The brand suggests applying a thick layer, but honestly, even a normal layer works the same as a thick layer in my experience. So I leave it on for about 10-15 minutes. Sometimes longer if I am binge watching something. (That reminds me, I really wanted to watch Fifty Shades of Freed, but its just not available on any OTT platform! ).

Coming back to the Australian glow berries mask, well, for sure, this is one of the most hydrating masks that I have ever used. It makes my skin feel moisturised from within, like its naturally full of moisture. This is the reason why the skin appears glowy. Because moisturised skin always appears brighter and better.

I absolutely love using this before applying my makeup. Its like moisture boosting sheet mask in a tub! It gives an instant boost of hydration that every skin type would love.

On the downside, the effects of this mask aren’t very long lasting. Like you can see your skin feeling hydrated for up-to a day maximum. So when the brand says, “use it 2-3 times a week” they probably mean for the beauties with better skin who wouldn’t need such frequent dose of moisture. But honestly, my skin just drinks up moisture like crazy. So I could actually use this everyday (if it were not so expensive!)

2. However you might be able to get similar results with a hydrating sheet mask. So you don’t really need to stretch out your budget just for this mask. The results can be achieved in other ways as well.
3. Look out for sales and promotions. During holiday season, this was sold at upto 30% discounts on some of the beauty retailers’ websites.
