In Detail Sebamed Baby Lotion Review, Swatches and My Experience
The sebamed baby lotion comes in a white color opaque plastic bottle with a light blue pump. The good thing is pump can be locked by twisting so it makes the 400 mL bottle spill proof and travel friendly. The bottle comes in a white carton box with brand logo and all the details on it. There are other size options available like 100 mL as well as 50 mL. The smaller sizes have a flip open cap in the same colour theme.
The bottle on the other hand has only limited information. Even the price and ingredient list are not there on the bottle but only the carton.
It has a very very subtle fragarnce which is good as strong fragrances can irritate a baby. You can smell a gentle fragrance if you sniff the product. The moment you apply it on the baby’s skin it fades away in a couple of minutes.
The consistency of the lotion is on the thinner side. When I first saw the product I felt it is too thin but as a baby has very delicate skin, its appropriate for the baby. The thin texture helps in easy application and quick absorption of the lotion.
My daughter developed some kind of rashes in her first month, I had to be very careful as to what I was using on her skin. After a lot of research, I ended up with sebamed lotion. I also use the Sebamed facial cream and soap which are great products too. I will be reviewing them in my upcoming reviews.
I had heard a lot of good reviews from friends and family about sebamed and did a research on the internet too. I ordered the smaller pack to test it on my baby. She really responded well and her skin condition improved too. I ordered the bigger bottle and since them I am a happy parent.
It gives the apt moisture and keeps her skin soft and supple. It did not irritate her in any manner. Now, since winter has started I feel this lotion wont suffice. I need something with thicker consistency and something that is more moisturising. Apart from this one issue there are no compalains whatsoever.
Overall, it’s a great lotion. A bit expensive but the baby’s skin is more important at the end of the day. It’s a light lotion which moisturises and keeps the skin soft. Great for summer months but you will need to switch to something else in winters. That will be all. Hope to post another one soon.
