In Detail Sephora Acai Hair Sleeping Mask Review, Swatches and My Experience

There are 5 different hair masks in this line:

Rose Hair sleeping mask – for Smoothing and anti-frizz
Shea Hair sleeping mask – Invigorating and anti-breakage
Coconut Hair sleeping mask – Nourishing and repairing
Acai Hair sleeping mask – Brightening and Color protecting

The hair mask comes in a reddish-purple colored chic package, sectioned off in two parts. One has a reusable hair cap in it, made of cloth and the lower section has 30ml of hair mask/hair conditioner.Travel friendly pacakaging, I would pop one in my bag and put it in when coming back from the heat/sun damaging hair from a summer vacay..

The mask is in the form of a shiny white cream, almost the same consistency as any hair conditioner. Easy to apply, I squeezed out a little in my palm, rubbed in to warm it up and started working from the ends up. Easy to apply with no mess, I did this over the sink.

The quantity of the mask was for enough for my hair, which are moderate thick, waist length hair, but I don’t think it will be enough for somebody whose hair are thicker or longer than mine as I dint put the mask in my roots and only covered from ears down to tips. I combed my hair with my fingers as I worked it in my hair.

The cream is not sticky, it has a gorgeous fruity berry aroma. I put my hair up in a bun and covered it with the hair cap that comes with it. I like the fact that the hair cap is reusable and that it is made out of cloth, so no problem in sleeping with it on. But I hate the crinkling noise that plastic caps make. I like to make a high bun on top of my head so its not in way of sleeping..so the cap dint really fit, I cant put my hair in low bun and sleep.

This is an overnight hair mask. I left the mask in my hair for over 12 hours. I rinsed the mask off and shampooed. It was easy to wash off with warm water.

Effects

My hair felt soft, silky and shiny as it claims .but they looked as frizzy as they are naturally, the conditioner dint smoothen down my frizzy hair, but it doesn’t say it would so I don’t really have a problem with that.

I have caramel blonde highlights, but I dint feel like it did anything to brighten or revive the color, they looked like were before conditioning. I am growing out my hair so the ends are really dead and dry but the mask made them super soft. It dint weigh my hair down.

Nevertheless amazing hair mask for deep conditioning ones in a while, my hair still feels super soft and smooth after 4 days. I would try the rest of them for sure.
