Sephora Lingzhi Sleeping Mask Review: Hey guys, so today we are talking about a sleeping mask from Sephora Collection. They had launched these a while back and I got a few of them from Sephora at Delhi. They claim this to be an anti ageing and smoothing mask.

Lingzhi also known as Reishi is a mushroom which is said to have various benefits for the skin. For example, it reduces signs of premature ageing, it has anti inflammatory properties, it also fights acne. This mushroom also is rich in antioxidants. This is why many skin care brands are not using this as a hero ingredient in their products. Let’s talk more specifically about this mask in detail below.

In Detail Sephora Lingzhi Sleeping Mask Review, Swatches and My Experience

The sephora lingzhi sleeping mask is very similar to the innisfree capsule packs when you look at the packaging. It is light and easy to travel with. I honestly love these masks because they don’t break the pocket, and they are so compact, you can keep a couple of them in the purse while travelling.

I have to peel off the top to reveal the product inside.

This one has a jelly like consistency, smooth texture. Doesn’t smell too strong. Has a very mild herbal scent. But then this is an added fragrance as per the ingredients list.

How I Use it

After cleansing my face, I apply a thin layer of this mask on my facial skin. The packet has so much product that you can easily use this 2-3 times. I usually keep such products (which you can use a few times after opening) in my fridge. Added advantage is the soothing cool feel on the skin while using.

I goto bed with this on. Now I do wake up multiple times in the night because I have a toddler and an infant. It definitely never feels too thick or heavy on the skin.

Effects

So the next morning I wake up with a lovely soft and hydrated skin. It removes all the dry patches on my face. Because of the adequate hydration, my skin appears brighter as well. However, in the 3 times that I used it, I did not see any other changes on my skin. I thankfully do not have any visible signs of ageing on my skin. So I cannot comment as far as its anti ageing property is concerned.

Overall I’d say this is a very good sleeping mask which packs a punch of hydration in the skin. Because of the lovely hydration, the skin appears so much better. But then, guess what its effects aren’t very long lasting. The hydrated and glowing effect on the skin only lasts like a day.

It is a great mask to try on for a pamper session. But then do not expect any long term effects from a single pack. It just hydrates the skin very well without cause any irritation or any other adverse effect
