Now I discovered Lily Singh on YouTube years ago, back when she wasn’t a huge mega star. I LOVED her videos! She was so funny and relatable. She has such a positive vibe and I love what she stands for. So when I heard she collaborated with Smashbox, I knew I had to have it. Yes I already have multiple reds. I wasn’t too big a fan of the color either from swatches I saw online but I was so crazy I wanted it just because it was hers! And I heard amazing stuff about the new Smashbox liquid lipstick formula. But I could’ve picked any color, perhaps something I didn’t already have but that’s exactly what I ended up doing! In Detail Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick Bawse Review, Swatches and My Experience

Because of the really good reviews I saw of this formula, I had high hopes for this liquid lipstick. The price tag was higher so I was a little reluctant to get it but it was stuck in my head so I caved in and luckily a friend arranged it for me directly from the US so no extra shipping charges!

Now onto the liquid lipstick itself. I wore it for the first time on my birthday this year. And I fell in love with it! The formula was comfortable and long lasting and the color wasn’t as bad as I was anticipating. I usually like red with neutral undertones or with pink or berry ones, not orange. It was brighter than I had hoped but I can work with. But because it’s a little bright and I’m into more muted colors nowadays, I don’t wear it as often!

I love the pretty packaging. The wand is even unique and helps with more precise application which is super important with liquid lipsticks! It’s not too big either so perfect for on the go! And it’s full opaque on one swipe!

After 4-5 hours

(Inclusive of eating and drinking) – Some of the product moved from the inner ring of the lips, but it wasn’t very obvious with my mouth closed. It remained pretty much intact otherwise!

1. Lip prep is very important. Scrub your lips and then apply a lip balm to moisturize!
2. Use the point of the applicator to first outline your lips
3. Fill in the middle until evenly covered
4. Apply a thin layer otherwise it will crumble

Finally, I’m really glad I bought this and got to try out the formula. It’s definitely one of the better ones out there. That being said the price that leaves little to be desired and you can get good formulas of liquid lipsticks with a smaller price tag! It’s worth trying out though and I would recommend these to anyone! I might get another shade in the future if I find one to be unique!
