St. Ives Radiant Skin Pink Lemon & Mandarin Orange Exfoliating Body Wash Review: Hey Guys, I am talking about an exfoliating body wash today. St. Ives is a well known name for apricot scrubs. When I saw it had body washes too, I ordered one to try out. I was intrigued to read “lemon and mandarin orange” because it sounds incredibly refreshing.

In Detail St. Ives Radiant Skin Pink Lemon & Mandarin Orange Exfoliating Body Wash Review and My Experience

This is a big, tall bottle you guys. Its 400 mL and St. Ives does not have a smaller bottle for this product. However, because it comes at such an affordable price, I am not complaining.

Its an average translucent, white colour flip top bottle. You can see how much of the product is left inside. The labels mention all the details about it. Also, this is made in USA.

As soon as you squeeze it out, you’ll love how this smells (if you like zingy/citrusy smells). Its very fresh and kind of wakens my senses in the morning. The smell isn’t too overpowering at the same time. It looks pretty, has a light pink colour. It has a nice creamy consistency to it, slightly runny though.

You can’t really see any exfoliating particles when you take it in your hand. But when you lather it, you can feel some really small micro-granules on your skin. I guess that is why this has been given the Exfoliation factor level as “gentle”.

How I Use it

I always use shower gels with my loofah. But this one, I use with or without my loofah. It creates a very rich foamy lather. You only need like a small coin size amount for the entire body. While working it on the skin, those small granules exfoliate the skin nice and gentle.

Again, I just absolutely love how lovely and refreshing it smells in the shower. (Bad news is – the smell does not last long. It pretty much vanishes completely once you’re out of the shower. 🙁 )

Effects

The St. Ives body wash cleanses my skin really well. I actually notice that it softens the skin. Most probably because it scrubs out the dead skin cells due to its gentle exfoliating property. My skin looks nice and healthy.

So what’s so unique about this body wash you may ask. Well, according to me, the fact that it does not over-dry the skin while gently exfoliating it is the best quality of this body wash. I am a person who often does not have the time to moisturise my body everyday. I mean between an infant, a toddler and a full time job as a doctor, time is not my best friend.

Anyways, still I suggest you do moisturise your skin as a routine.

Final Verdict

Well honestly this is one of the best mildly exfoliating body washes out there which can be safely used daily. I have been using this everyday since over a month. Sometimes twice a day as well. I have finished almost half a bottle. So this should last 2 or 2 and a half month on an average.

Because it’s very mild, this exfoliating body wash can be used by all skin types. At this price point, this is literally the best one available in the market right now. If you’re a fan of citrusy fresh smells, you must totally give this a try.

PS. Look for discounts around holidays. St. Ives had upto 30% discounts in the recent sale during Independence day. As of today, it is still on good discount on myntra.

MBF Advises

This scrub is best used in the morning routine due to its fresh fragrance.

This is a gentle exfoliating body wash, so it can be used daily. In case you choose a deeper exfoliating wash, use it less frequently.

For travelling, you can easily pour this into a small travel size bottle.
