Sugar Dream Cover SPF15 Mattifying Compact Review, Swatches: Hello Everyone! Today I am again reviewing a product from Sugar Cosmetics. It is a newly launched product from them. The product I am talking about is Sugar Dream Cover SPF 15 Mattifying Compact. I also tried their Sugar As nude as it gets compact and did not like it much hence, gave it to my friend. When I saw this I thought of giving it a try. Its claims tempted me a lot.

I love sugar products to the core. So I don’t think much and purchase their products whenever they launch something new. I have extremely oily, sensitive skin. Therefore, reading “mattifying” in any product tempts me. To know how this product fared on me, keep reading my review which I have briefly stated below.

In Detail Sugar Dream Cover SPF15 Mattifying Compact Review, Swatches and My Experience

The Sugar dream cover compact comes in a black and white color square cardboard box with graphic prints on it. Super cute, girly and attractive packaging. The actual compact comes packed in a matte black square case with sugar logo printed on its lid. It has shade name and number printed on back of the case.

The lid has a magnetic closure which closes tightly that ensures the compact powder is travel friendly. It has two compartments. One on the upper side has pressed powder and the other compartment has the sponge.

The sponge is very soft and of a good quality. Overall the packaging of this dream cover compact is very stiff, sturdy and off a good quality.

Sugar Dream Cover SPF15 Mattifying Compact powders come in total of 5 shades meant for various skin tones. The shade I am reviewing is 10 Latte. Now I think, I accidentally ordered the wrong shade. I should have gone for the shade chococcino.

However, when I apply a foundation which is a little darker than my skin tone, I use this and in this way it works amazingly well.

This shade is meant for lighter skin tone girls and I have medium complexion with warm undertones.

The texture of the compact is very smooth and silky and its finely milled. On swatching it for the first time, it felt almost like butter. The finish it provides is almost matte.

Hence it is not fit for dry skin beauties. Because it may enhance dry patches of the skin. Oily skin beauties will enjoy it using especially in summers.

The coverage it provides is sheer to medium. First I apply a bb cream to even out my skin tone. Then I dab this all over my face and neck and I am good to go. In fact, I am not complaining about its coverage because compact powders usually do not have coverage.

This stays on my oily skin like forever. Whenever I set my foundation with it, my makeup lasts longer and I don’t feel any need to touch up even after 4 to 5 hours of application. It sets my foundation completely.

I also use this to set my under eye concealer and it does set it and prevents my concealer from creasing. Also the shade is light so it also works for brightening my under eye area.
