In Detail The Body Shop Banana Shampoo Review, Swatches and My Experience
The shampoo bottle is made out of transparent plastic bottle with a black flip top. It is a sturdy bottle which you can easily carry along. The shampoo is pale yellow in colour and the consistency is medium.
The fragrance is really nice, its like sweet smelling bananas all around your washroom. It’s a refreshing sweet fragrance. Not at all like most of the synthetic smelling shampoos.
The shampoo lathers well and It leaves the hair squeaky clean. If you oil your hair before washing you will need a little extra amount of the product and will have to work it up. It is not harsh on the hair and leaves my hair feeling soft.
However the volumising nature of this shampoo is a big turn off for me. Because I already have a good volume and it makes my hair further puffed up. It becomes difficult for me to manage them thereafter.
Does it work for everyone?
The shampoo says it is meant for all hair types, which is the reason I bought it. But, now I can say that it will work great for beauties with thin, flat hair only. Since I was unhappy with the results I gave it to my cousin who was super impressed with the volume imparted to her poker straight hair. She just loved the results as it gave an instant lift to her flat hair.
TBS products are not tested on animals which I really like. They are free from harmful chemicals and contain unique ingredients. This shampoo is another great variety from their brand but this shampoo is not meant for me.
Overall, I would not recommend this to someone who is happy with their hair volume as this shampoo will leave your hair unmanageable. It does nourish, soften and cleanse but fails to impress me. Girls with thin hair must give it a try.

MBF Advices
- Warm water is best for rinsing hair as it helps get the oil out and cleans hair better by opening up the hair follicles.
- For the final rinse use cold water to close the hair follicles and lock the moisture.
- Make sure that you rinse your hair thoroughly with water before shampooing. Shampoo lathers better on wet hair and spreads evenly.
MBF Rating
3/5
I had been eyeing this product for some time, but after going through your review i will give this a pass as it increases the volume of the hair. I personally do not like shampoos which does that
I have just used this and have thick hair that is prone to frizzing and looking fluffy after washing, however I found that it smoothed my hair and made it more manageable. Also I dont think this shampoo lathered very well as you say.
I have thin hair. I am in love with this shampoo?
Nice review ..
