In Detail The Body Shop British Rose Instant Glow Body Butter Review, Swatches and My Experience
The Body Shop British Rose Body Butter comes in a signature tub packaging just like other TBS body butters. The tub is baby pink in color with a black plastic lid. There is a beautiful rose printed on the top. It looks very attractive and is spill proof. The smaller size is travel friendly but the bigger tub is somewhat bulky to carry along.
Only con of the tub packaging is the hygiene part but otherwise I find it convenient to use. There is no wastage of the product and you can always reuse theses tubs as jewellery boxes or for storing things by doing a little art and craft on them.
Coming to the fragrance, it’s a strong rose smell that will fill your room with the aroma. If you are not a fan of roses please skip this product as the fragrance is strong and overpowering. I am a big time fan of floral scents and I totally love the way it smells. Also, the smell lasts long enough.
This Body butter has a thick and creamy consistency just like all other body butters from TBS. It is white in colour and and feels just like butter as it easily spreads on the skin. It will take a while to absorb after application.
Be careful not to use too much product as it will make you feel greasy especially during summers. You will not need reapplication and after being absorbed by the skin the sticky feeling will go away.
I like light lotions during summers but during winters I need something heavy duty for my skin. Since it’s a body butter, it is thick and slightly on the greasier side. Its a complete no for me in summers but it’s definitely my winter staple. The skin stays supple and soft and the greasy feeling also fades away soon after application. It hydrates my skin and leaves behind a beautiful rosy smell. What a luxurious feeling post bath.
Overall, I will recommend it strongly during winters to hydrate all types of skin but for summers it might leave you feeling sticky. The fragrance might be a put off if you do not like floral scents. Barring these two points just go for it.
