In Detail The Body Shop Matte Clay Concealer Review, Swatches and My Experience

The Body Shop matte clay concealer comes wrapped in a thin polythene. It does not come with any outer packaging. The actual concealer comes in a tiny round compact case with the body shop printed on the lid and few information glued at the back of the case.

It has a transparent lid which closes with a shut lock very tightly hence can be carried along easily. Also the product is small and compact. Good for travelling as it will not require a lot of space. Although considering the price, the amount of the product provided is very less. Hence its little on the pricier side.

The matte clay concealer comes in a total of 7 shades for every Indian skin tone. The shade I am reviewing is named as 055 Maluccan Nutmeg.

Actually I just blindly picked this concealer at the store as I had swatched its foundation named maluccan nutmeg. So I thought even this will be exact same shade. But to my surprise when I came home and opened it, the shade was 2 shades darker than my complexion.

Well, I was little shattered for a minute. So now, I use it for concealing my stubborn dark circles and dark spots before applying any foundation and it that way it works amazingly well.

If you are nc45 or above, this shade will be best suited for you. I would have gone for the shade Savanna pecan I think that would have gone with my nc42 skintone well.

The concealer does not have any scent to it, its completely odourless.

The texture of the concealer is very creamy and thick as you can see but very easily blendable. This thickness makes sure you use a small amount each time. It is highly pigmented and covers imperfections without much effort.

I mostly use my Pac concealer brush to apply it around my eyes and then pat it around with my ring finger. That way I don’t contaminate the product by directly touching it. Also blending becomes easy with fingers melting the concealer into a seamless finish due to the body heat.

One thing that you must follow after using this Body Shop Matte Clay Concealer is setting it up with loose powder to avoid any creasing. Other wise the thick creamy consistency can make it settle into your fine lines.

The finish it provides is semi matte not too matte nor too creamy. It conceals my dark spots and pigmentation very well and also act as a corrector for me.

The concealer stays on my oily skin for good about 5 hours. After that it creases a bit. But if set with a setting powder it again, it looks nice and fresh.
