The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner Review: Hello Guys. Today I am reviewing a toner from The Body Shop called as Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner. The Body Shop is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their products has never failed to impress me.

I have used this toner years back and loved it but never repurchased it don’t know why. My skin was breaking out a lot recently and wanted something to treat it immediately. I ordered this toner as well as the face wash and using it regularly without fail.

How To Use The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner

Apply after cleansing and before moisturising. Shake to activate the mattifying powders and apply a generous amount to a cotton pad. Sweep across the face and neck.

In Detail The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner Review and My Experience

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner comes wrapped in a thin plastic. Once opened  the toner comes poured in a dark green colored bottle with all the important information regarding the product glued on the bottle itself. It has matte black color cap with the lid which  needs to be flipped in order to get the toner out.

The packaging of toner is very much identical to their tea tree facial wash which has been reviewed here before. Overall I liked the simple yet elegant looking packaging of the toner but I don’t find it travel friendly as the bottle is to bulky to be carried along while travelling. However, we can take some in a travel friendly bottle in case of emergency.

The smell of the toner is exactly like tea tree oil which smells natural and not artificial. Also the toner is very very light green in color.

There is a white powdery substance called Tapioca Starch. Its a very fine powder derived from the cassava root (normally used in cooking). This ingredient is in the toner which settles down. Therefore, it needs to be shaken before using it. 

Usually I apply this toner as my acne treatment. I apply it twice a day that is morning and at night. I use this toner in combination with the tea tree facial wash from the same brand.

I take a small quantity of this in a cotton pad and apply it by swiping the pad all over my face and neck and let it dry. The toner gets absorbed into my skin in no time leaving my face matte and shine free.

I have tried a lot of toners affordable as well as expensive and none of them worked as they broke me out and my skin felt greasy and oily even tough they were meant for oily skin. But this particular toner didn’t break me out nor it left any greasy and irritable residue behind.

I have been loving this lately and using it for quite sometimes now and I am liking the results. It actually helps in combating breakouts and keeping my skin clean, clear  and oil free for longer period of time.

1. It is an alcohol free toner so won’t dry out the skin very much, dry skin beauties should give this a try but apply a light moisturiser after that.
2. Always follow the CTM routine (Cleansing, Toning and Moisturising) it is really important for healthy skin.
3. Best Toner for oily and acne prone blemished skin in affordable range.
