In Detail The Face Shop Red Ginseng Real Nature Face Mask Review and My Experience
The face shop red ginseng sheet face mask comes in a slate gray themed packet. The packet has grooves on either sides near the top so that it is easy to tear off the top. Details about the product can be seen at the back. Mostly in Korean, but the main information like directions to use and ingredients are written in English as well.
Inside, the sheet mask is neatly folded. It can be seen soaking in an amber brown colour serum. In fact, this is the first sheet mask by TFS that has some colour to it.
In addition, this is not the best smelling mask out there. It smells kind of like a strong spice, but not in a good way. You kind of get used to the smell, so it won’t really bother unless you have a sensitive nose.
How I Use it
After washing my face properly, I gently unfold the mask and place it on my face. Like all the TFS sheet masks, this too is a little big for my face. So I need to adjust it a little. I let it stay put for like 15 minutes as per the directions. It does not really dry up completely in that much time. Then I take it off.
So first things first, this mask is very hydrating. In fact, if you have oily skin, you might feel like this is making your skin feel a little sticky. Another thing, I love the soothing feeling it provides. Although it doesn’t smell great, it somehow just feels nice on my skin.
However please note, that this kind of leaves some amber-ish tint on the skin. I am pretty sure that it because of the unabsorbed serum on the skin. So I just wash my face with plain water and pat dry.
Also, if the tint is noticeable on my NC 42 skin, I am sure it would be more pronounced on beauties with lighter skin tone than mine. However like I said, the tint isn’t permanent, and it goes away when you wash your face.
I think just like most other TFS sheet masks, this is another one that I would prefer using for a pamper session only. It moisturises my skin well and has a lovely soothing effect. No long term effects though.
Because these face masks are very affordable (mostly available at 50% off or buy 5 get 5 offers), I love to try them. Specially like right now, an afternoon when I have have exactly 15 minutes to myself, why not give my skin a quick hydrating treat.
