You must have an idea how excited I am to try some Korean Skin Care through my previous review of The Face Shop White Seed Blanclouding White Moisture Cream. Like I said, I did pick up quite a lot of stuff from The Face Shop. Today let’s talk about one of their Sheet Masks. I haven’t tried a lot of sheet masks before but I must say I am loving these. Sheet masks are so convenient to use. The best part is, I don’t mess up my sink 😀 So let us read about this sheet face mask in detail and my experience with it.

How to Use The Face Shop The Solution Brightening Face Mask

1. Wash face and apply toner.
2. Remove sheet from package and remove film on one side of sheet.
3. Apply evenly and firmly to face.
4. Remove sheet after 10 to 20 minutes and gently pat to promote absorption of remaining essence.

CAUTION

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use on irritated skin. Discontinue use if irritation or rash appears.

In Detail The Face Shop The Solution Brightening Face Mask Review and My Experience

The mask sheet comes in a simple packaging which has every detail about the mask mentioned in English as well as Korean language. You will notice a sticker at the back of the face mask that I have because I purchased it from an Indian retailer who put their prices and details on that sticker. There is a mark near the top on the packaging from where you can tear off the cover so no need of scissors. Hence, yes this is very travel friendly.

As soon as I open the cover, the mask is neatly folded inside. Its generously soaked in its serum. The texture of the serum is pretty smooth and velvety. Now, as you will notice in the photographs below, the sheet mask itself is made of a thin cotton fabric. This fabric is layered on a thin glossy plastic sheet just to make sure the cotton fabric does not stick to itself and the mask is easy to unfold. So overall, I really appreciate the thoughtful packaging. Also, the serum has a very mild smell to it which I don’t really mind.

How I Use it

I wash my face with my regular face wash, spray Kama Ayurveda Rose Water as a toner and let it dry for a couple of minutes. Then I unfold the mask. The serum is not watery so it does not drip down or anything. I gently remove the cotton fabric mask sheet from the plastic sheet. Then in front of a mirror, I place the sheet on my face. After adjusting slightly, it sits perfectly covering my face entirely. However, the sides of my nose stay slightly exposed.

Now I had purchased 3 of these brightening mask sheets and as I am writing this, I have the 3rd one currently on my face. I usually let the mask sheet stay on my face for 20 to 30 minutes. In the meanwhile, I do my house chores and the sheet stays put without sliding or coming off. After that I remove it. While removing, I notice that it is still moist. One time, I let it sit on my face for a complete hour and that day it almost dried completely.

After taking off the sheet, I very gently massage my facial skin and massage any traces of the sheet serum left on my skin. I do not wash my face unless I have to apply makeup.

Effects

My skin feels hydrated, smooth and plump after using the mask sheet. In fact, the hydration is just enough for my combination skin. Because of the ample moisture it provides, my face appears more bright. As well as the skin looks nourished. So to be more specific, it does not change my skin tone or anything but makes my skin appear more glowing naturally.

The brightening effect or glow on my skin lasts for a day or two at max. Therefore I would say this is a pretty good deal. I mean its such a hassle free product to use which actually provides results as it claims. Although this is supposed to be a super moisturising sheet mask, I don’t think this would provide enough hydration to dry skin beauties. Because on my combination skin, the hydration feels just enough.

Overall, I feel this is a great brightening skin care product for girls on the go. This is perfect to carry in your bag if you’re going on holidays as well. Just 20 minutes of pampering the skin with this results in soft as well as nourished skin. Therefore, I do recommend the product in case you’re looking for a brightening sheet mask.

3. If you need to apply makeup immediately after using this mask, wash your face lightly with water. Then after apply makeup.
4. You can store the mask sheet before opening the packet in refrigerator. This way, when you use it, it will give you an added cooling effect on the skin.
